Instead of "subscribe to this topic" I think the previous model was better. When a person posts something, give him the option of alert notification on or off prior to his comment posting. In that way we can get rid of unnecessary alerts in our email notifications and can get only notifications for any reply to our comments.

 

Also each and every time we subscribe to a topic then we are getting email notifications confirmation. This is cumbersome. Please introduce universal confirmation thereby only giving one confirmation can activate all future confirmation.

Hello, some features are the default functionalities of forum. We are trying to address and make things comfortable and easy for you all 🙂  Of course, certain things come with restrictions, hope you understand. 

Would try to fix the notifications and post an update here.
