-- A thread to discuss the trends in Wireless Subscriber Count --
#QuickThoughts :
In my opinion all the subscriber numbers which are making headlines now are just inorganic.
I believe, we can see an organic downtrend (if not at least not so sky rocketing numbers) of subscriber count in wireless segment going forward.
This will be actually good for the Industry and a +ve sign.
Every telco wants that 'one' subscriber who wants to pay for quality and service.
Congratulations Jio for achieving the feat of crossing 40 crore subscribers. The first mobile service provider to achieve this subscriber mark in India.
I wish more subscribers to you!
Subscriber count via TRAI : 400803819 as of 31st July 2020
#Tariff Hike & Subscriber Count :
None of the telcos is hiking the tariff.
Even we are waiting eagerly for the same, but it seems the telcos are hesitant and are trying to safeguard specific interests and #Inorganic numbers.
What must the reason for this? : Subscriber count, WHAT else?
Can't any disruptor come forward?
The current subscriber numbers don't stand if the hike happens. Isn't it? These numbers might help them with other things.
But we believe who so ever comes forward with the first hike is determined and are ready for the next phase.
Good to see BSNL making moves towards Tariff Hike!
