Celkon introduced the Campus A35K smartphone last year and has now launched an upgraded version of the smartphone with the moniker Campus A35K Remote. As the name suggests, it comes with an infrared (IR) transmitter called the smart remote which can be used as a universal remote. You can use it to control televisions, air conditioners, set-top boxes, DVD players and so on. The IR transmitter is located at the top of the smartphone.

Other than this, the specifications are bog similar to the yesteryear Campus A35K. Celkon is offering a free 16GB microSD card with the smartphone. It will be available in black, blue, white and grey colours.

Celkon A35K Specifications

  • 3.5 inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels
  • 1GHz single core processor, 256 MB RAM
  • Android 4.4 KitKat
  • 512 MB internal storage, expandable via microSD (up to 32GB)
  • 3.2MP rear camera with a flash and a VGA front camera
  • 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Dual SIM
  • 1,400 mAh battery

The budget handsets these days have caught up in terms of specifications on offer and a single core processor just doesn't work well enough to attract customers. But it makes up for all that with its smart remote and helps it stand apart.
