Telecom Commission fixes base price for auction of 800 MHz spectrum

The Telecom Commission (TC) has fixed Rs 3,646 crore per MHz as the base price for the auction of 800 MHz spectrum, which is slated for February next year. Vodafone, Airtel gets 45 days extension in Delhi and 15 days in Mumbai

The department of telecommunications (DoT) has agreed to a 45-day extension, till January 14, 2015, to Bharti Airtel and Vodafone for migrating to new frequencies. TRAI recommends Rs. 3,104 crore reserve price for 800 MHz band

India’s telecom regulator, Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has recommended a reserve price of Rs.3,104 crore per megahertz for CDMA or 800 MHz band, which is 15 percent higher than the rate it had proposed in February.
