Starlink Now Available in 105 Countries

Starlink, a global satellite communications (satcom) services provider has expanded its services to 105 countries. This includes 15 countries in Africa. The two new countries added to the list are Ghana and Botswana. On August 22, the company announced that its services are available in South Sudan. Verizon Partners with Skylo to Launch Satellite-Based Direct-to-Device Messaging

American wireless network provider Verizon has partnered with satellite communications provider Skylo to launch a commercial direct-to-device messaging service. Starting this fall, Verizon customers will gain access to emergency messaging and location sharing via satellite on select smartphones, even when the terrestrial network is unavailable.
