BSNL added maximum new wireless subscribers in July 2016- TRAI

The total mobile subscriber base in the country has declined marginally to 103.42 crore at the end of July this year from 103.51 crore in June, primarily due to operators like Reliance Communications and Tata Teleservices losing CDMA subscribers. Airtel was leading with maximum new subscriber additions in June 2016- TRAI

The total mobile subscriber base in the country has marginally grown to 1.035 billion, with Bharti Airtel leading the GSM subscriber addition for the month of June 2016. According to latest subscription data shared by TRAI, overall 1.36 million new mobile subscribers were added during the month. Consultation paper by Trai on spectrum pricing by November-end: Report

TRAI telecom subscriber data for May 2015, landline connections continue to decline

TRAI has released telecom subscriber data for the month of May 2015. The total telecom subscriber base was at 1002.05 million and overall tele-density was at 79.67% at the end of May 2015. In the month, total of 2.34 million new subscribers were added generating a monthly growth rate of 0.23%.
