Capgemini Launches New Generative AI Solutions for Engineering and R&D
Capgemini announced on Friday that it is extending its Generative AI portfolio with the introduction of specialised solutions designed for engineering and research and development (R&D). These innovations aim to accelerate client innovation, streamline engineering processes, and unlock new discoveries through advanced automation. The company noted that as a leading player in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) market, Capgemini is well positioned to help organisations transform their engineering and R&D processes and accelerate towards a more intelligent industry.

Capgemini's Augmented Engineering Portfolio

The new offerings, collectively named "Augmented Engineering," leverage a hybrid AI approach that combines Generative AI and AI with traditional engineering and scientific models, Capgemini said. This combination allows for precise and compliant outcomes across various industries.

Augmented R&D Discovery: This solution accelerates scientific discovery and automates R&D processes, enabling quicker innovation in formulation-based industries. Example of applications include new drugs, aircraft fuel composition, tyre properties, components substitution in food, beverage and cosmetics.

Augmented Software Product Engineering: An agent-based framework and associated consulting and engineering services that enhance product creativity and development efficiency, featuring tools for optimising requirements, automating code creation, product generation and code migration.

Augmented Product Support and Services: A Gen AI-enabled assistant that streamlines product support, reducing workloads for engineers and enhancing customer experience in different industries such as telecommunications, industrial IoT or MedTech.

Augmented Product Technical Publications: This service simplifies the creation of essential technical documents, drastically reducing data retrieval and publication times.

"Capgemini has designed a technical publications factory model, custom-built production workflow assistant to reduce data retrieval time from hours to minutes, and to shorten publication authoring time from weeks to days, the official release said.
