BSNL is known for not revising recharge plans frequently, but in the last few months, that's not the case. BSNL is leaving no stone unturned to give a tight fight to Jio and other incumbents. BSNL is on a spree to leave all its competitors behind in launching new plans. BSNL is coming up with new plans every fortnight.
BSNL launched three unlimited Data packs in quick succession. To start with BSNL launched Rs. 333 pack. The Rs.333 pack offers 3GB data per day for 90 days. Another data-centric plan of Rs. 444 aka Chaukka offers an insane 4GB data per day for 90 days. Latest in BSNL’s arsenal is Rs. 666 Sixer plan which offers 2GB data per day and unlimited voice calling with a validity of 60 days. All three plans are for prepaid users only.

The only Rs.666 plan offers free calling out of the above three recently launched by BSNL. The plan may seem to be a bit costlier, but it offers free incoming and outgoing calls, unlike other incumbents. Every telecom operator is focussing on prepaid subscribers these days after entry of Reliance Jio. Postpaid users are left aloof in this unlimited data and call frenzy.
Given the network quality of BSNL, it will be a test for BSNL’s existing loyal subscribers to opt for any of these new plans rolled out by the operator. Although the Rs. 666 is a good plan, BSNL may not be able to entice new subscribers owing to its poor network reputation. BSNL is yet to launch its 4G service in India. We hope to see more competitive plans by the incumbent when its 4G service is rolled out pan-India with a better network coverage.
