BSNL, the government-owned telecom service provider is not going to hold back when compared to private operators. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has launched a new promotional plan of Rs 19, which discounts the voice calling rates. BSNL has launched this new STV 19 in Tamil Nadu and Chennai circles, but it's expected to go official in the near future on the pan-India basis. The validity of the STV 19 is 54 days and customers can enjoy discounted on-net and off-net voice calls to any circles, except Mumbai and Delhi. That being said, the STV 19 is a promotional plan introduced only in the said circles, and it will expire on October 11.

Coming to the benefits offered by STV 19, it discounts the on-net voice calls to 15 paise per minute and the off-net voice calls to 35 paise per minute. These voice calling rates will be valid for 54 days from the date of recharge. Do make a note that the voice calling rates mentioned above are valid in Home circle and National Roaming except Mumbai & Delhi circles.

BSNL already has a bunch of voice calling plans of Rs 39, Rs 99 and Rs 319, but these plans offer unlimited voice calls on the home network and roaming network. The Rs 39 prepaid plan offers unlimited voice calling for ten days, while the Rs 99 plan offers the same for 26 days, and lastly, the Rs 319 voice-calling plan gives unlimited voice calling benefit for 90 days.

Post 54 days, the voice calling rates will be changed to standard rates. BSNL prepaid users can also recharge another plan on top of the newly launched STV 19. It's unknown when or whether BSNL is planning to introduce this new STV in other circles.

In other news, BSNL is still offering additional 2GB data per day with its combo prepaid plans of Rs 186, Rs 333, Rs 444, Rs 666 and more. The additional 2GB data offer ends on September 16, 2018.
