BSNL to Extend Full and Additional Talk Value Offers for Festival Season

In the view of upcoming festivals, BSNL has announced a fresh extension of full talk value and additional talk value top-ups. Some offers with similar benefits were slated to expire on 23 March 2014 across different circles. The offers will be available from 25 March 2014 for a period of 90 days.

Offer Details

As always full and additional talk time offers are beneficial and we suggest BSNL customers to make best use of them. In addition to this, these lump sum recharges can also be used to activate STVs at later dates by SMS or selfcare services. Using SMS to activate STVs will help you save some money as service charges would be excluded when you do this!

Addendum: Readers note that 17th March 2014 is a blackout day for BSNL where you will be charged for calls and SMS according to your base plan. We also learnt that the free roaming voucher would not work on this day. If you are someone who receives calls on a different state’s number everyday, it will cost a bomb if you continue to receive calls on a blackout day! Keep this in mind!

Update (16 March 2014, 09.45 hrs IST): Our reader Darshan updated us that in some circles the blackout day is on 16 March. Hence if you have received such an SMS from BSNL you can be assured that 17th is a normal day. Thanks Darshan! 🙂

BSNL Holi offer in my town- No 3G signal from last 8 days. I told here that BSNL launched 3G in my town and signal went live in last week of February this year. It stayed only for 15 days and then there is no signal from last Saturday and when talked to CC, they are as usual clueless about the start itself. So BSNL is continuing with its unreliable network in North and what’s more the indoor 2G signal which was weak before is now Nil as not able to get even a single bar inside building. Yeh nahi… Read more »

Same thing happened in my town in West Bengal also. BSNL 3G was up and running good for 2 -3 months then it all stopped. I get 2 -3 bars in 3G signals but net does not connect in any BSNL sim(with data pack activated) whereas calls can be made over 3G. BSNL is pathetic.
But thanks to Airtel 3G, I always get 3+Mbps here.

Kaha tha na………

Nevermind, in my location BSNL 3G has full coverage but signal vanishes many times a day and server is down for 20 days a month so if you are in North, please do not choose BSNL for data. Aircel has 3G spectrum in UPE but hasn’t started in my town whereas IDEA, Vodafone AND BSNL provides 3G coverage here.

Talktime? i don’t even remember when i topped up BSNL no as my father and mother both use Rs 151 – 400 mins pack and nothing else. One has Rs5 and other 0.7 Rs as main balance.
