State-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) continues to bring in new offers for its existing call and data combo plans amid high competition in the Indian telecom sector. BSNL has revamped its offering for prepaid and postpaid customers alike, announcing several promotional schemes on a limited-period basis. As part of the revision, BSNL's STV 1099 offers unlimited voice and data benefits for a validity of 84 days from the date of recharge.

The company has lately revised its special tariff voucher of Rs 1099, which now comes with a greater validity period. Earlier this STV was valid for a period of 30 days, and BSNL offered unlimited data without any speed restriction. The plan has now be modified and offers a far better deal for customers.

BSNL’s STV 1099 will provide unlimited 3G internet and unlimited calls for a validity period of 84 days. Under the combo voucher, the users will get 3GB of high-speed data daily. Post FUP limit, usage the speed will be reduced to 80kbps.

There is also unlimited calls bundled with the recharge pack. Users get unlimited free local/STD calls along with outgoing roaming calls. There is also a provision for 100 texts per day for home and BSNL roaming.

In addition, BSNL is giving users an option to set up a free BSNL Tune for the validity period. The operator is offering all the above benefits with a recharge of Rs 1099 which is inclusive of GST. This is one of the best plans for the company as there is truly unlimited internet and as a well greater amount of high-speed data bundle for consumers.

In comparison, other private players like Reliance Jio or Airtel aren’t offering any long-term plans with such huge amount of daily data usage per day. Jio’s prepaid plans with 3GB or even 2GB daily data usage are only valid for a period of 28 days. The Jio 3GB daily data plan also cost upwards of Rs 500 for 28 days.

Airtel isn’t doing any better than BSNL. The company’s 3GB and 3.5GB daily data plans start for Rs 549 and Rs 799 respectively and come with a validity period of 28 days only. So, BSNL ultimately is the right choice for customers with higher data needs per day.
