BSNL Revision Spree Continues, Telco Reduces Validity of Rs 666 Prepaid Plan

Since the start of February 2019, BSNL has been aggressively revising its tariff plans. While some of the changes it made were good ones, most of them disappointed the consumers. Except for the validity increase of Rs 349 prepaid plan, BSNL has reduced the validity of many prepaid plans such as Rs 99, Rs 319, Rs 98 and various other data-only STVs. On the brighter side, it has added Eros Now subscription to some of its plans. Continuing its revision spree, the government-owned PSU has now revised the Rs 666 aka BSNL Sixer prepaid plan and reduced the validity. The Rs 666 prepaid plan from BSNL used to offer benefits for 129 days from the date of recharge, however, it has now been reduced to 122 days, and the revision is already effective across all the circles where BSNL has its operations.

BSNL Rs 666 Aka BSNL Sixer Plan Receives Validity Reduction

Except for the validity reduction, the Rs 666 plan from BSNL offers previous benefits itself. The plan ships with unlimited voice calling to any network in the country but do make a note that standard rates will be applicable when you're in Mumbai and Delhi circle as the telco does not has operations in the two circles. It also comes with 1.5GB data per day along with 100 daily SMSes which will now be valid for a period of 122 days from the date of recharge.

Recently, the telco also made a change to the data benefit as the plan now comes with after FUP speed of 40 Kbps. Furthermore, the Rs 666 plan is also eligible for the Additional Data offer from BSNL, meaning it comes with 2.2GB extra data per day for the entire validity period of 122 days. Overall, the data benefit of Rs 666 right now is 3.7GB per day, which is a whopping data benefit.

BSNL is providing 2.2GB additional data per day on top of several prepaid plans and the Rs 666 falls under the same.

BSNL Rs 666 Plan Doesn't Ship With Eros Now Subscription

The state-run telco has recently revised various plans which were introduced alongside the Rs 666 plan back in 2017. The plans in question are the Rs 333 and Rs 444 prepaid plan which now ships with free Eros Now membership for the entire validity period. The Rs 333 and Rs 444 prepaid plan now come with Eros Now subscription and one can redeem the same by logging in with the BSNL mobile number inside Eros Now application.

Additionally, BSNL has added 40 Kbps after FUP speeds to its various data-only STVs including the popular Rs 98 prepaid plan. The Rs 98 data-only STV from BSNL now offers 2GB data per day, but the validity has been reduced to 24 days from the previous 26 days, which is underwhelming. On the flip side, it also offers after FUP speeds of 40 Kbps, which is a nice addition. At the start of February, BSNL reduced the validity of Rs 99 and Rs 319 voice-only prepaid plans by two days and six days respectively.
