Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has had a very busy month in terms of revisions and introduction of new plans. The state-led telecom operator has been making very frequent debuts and changes to its portfolio and that includes prepaid and broadband portfolio both. The telco has been cash strapped and now faces a two side competition one from the private telecom operators which are well-equipped with a 4G network and second one from the impending launch of Reliance Jio GigaFiber. To prepare well for that, the telco has been making frequent changes to its plans. In its recent move, BSNL has revised one of its popular prepaid vouchers and one of its STVs. These plans are the Rs 186 prepaid voucher and the Rs 187 STV. Here are the details about the revision of these plans.

Revision of BSNL Rs 186 Prepaid Voucher

Firstly, we will take the prepaid voucher for Rs 186, which is one of the more popular one owing to the benefits it offers. The validity of this plan is 28 days, and in this period, this prepaid voucher used to bundle unlimited local, STD and roaming calls to everywhere excluding Mumbai and Delhi. Also, the plan used to offer unlimited data with an after-FUP speed of 40 Kbps after 1 GB per day. Lastly, the plan also packaged 100 SMS per day with other benefits. However, after the change, the plan has become twice as attractive as now BSNL will be offering just double data, i.e. 2GB data per day to the subscribers of this plan. Not only this, but the calling in this plan will not exclude Mumbai and Delhi circle, but will be valid to these two metros as well.

Revision of BSNL Rs 187 STV

Similarly, there is the STV 187, which resembles the above mentioned prepaid voucher a lot. This STV also comes with a 28 days validity and prior to the revision this also used to bundle unlimited local, STD and roaming calls barring Mumbai and Delhi circles. However, after the revision, this restriction has been lifted up from the STV. Similarly, this plan used to offer 1GB data per day to the customers and now it will offer 2GB data per day. With this, the subscribers also enjoy 100 SMS per day and free PRBT.

BSNL Extends Bumper Offer till October 1, 2019

It is also worth noting that these two plans are eligible under the Bumper offer that BSNL has extended for its subscribers. To recall, the Bumper Offer by BSNL offers 2.2GB additional data to the customers in a day on select STVs and prepaid vouchers. Recently, BSNL has announced that the offer which was to be concluded at the end of June, has now been extended from July 7 to the October month. This means that the total data benefit in a day for the above-mentioned plans would be 4.2GB. It is also worth noting that the revision on these two plans mentioned above is applicable from July 8 and it is valid in the Chennai and Tamil Nadu circle.
