BSNL Entry-Level Broadband Plan Priced at Rs 99 Comes With 1.5GB Daily Data at 20 Mbps

BSNL is the largest wired broadband service provider in India, beating other players such as Airtel, ACT Fibernet and so on hands down. Now Jio is aiming to take that crown from BSNL with its high-speed Jio GigaFiber services. To take on Jio, BSNL has unveiled a slew of entry-level broadband plans starting at just Rs 99. Yes, you heard it right, BSNL has launched four new plans of Rs 99, Rs 199, Rs 299 and Rs 399, and with these plans, it's giving daily data, something we haven't seen in the past. All the four plans offer broadband speeds of 20 Mbps, and they come with a varied daily data limit. The Rs 99 broadband plan offers 45GB of data (spread as 1.5GB data per day), while the Rs 399 gives a user 600GB of monthly FUP.

Also, these plans offer unlimited voice calls, like various other plans in BSNL's portfolio. Another best part is users across the country can opt these plans, subjected if BSNL is offering broadband services in that particular location. Furthermore, the plans have been introduced on a promotional basis, which means that they'll expire after 90 days from the date of introduction. BSNL stated that these plans are not valid in Andaman & Nicobar telecom circle.

BSNL BBG Combo ULD 45GB Plan

Firstly, we have the affordable plan of the all four. The BBG Combo ULD 45GB plan from BSNL comes at a price of Rs 99 and offers 1.5GB data benefit until 20 Mbps. After the completion of daily FUP, speeds will be reduced to 1 Mbps.

BSNL BBG Combo ULD 150GB Plan

Next on the list, we have the 150GB plan which gives an overall data of 150GB that’s divided into 5GB data benefit per day with 20 Mbps speed and 1 Mbps speed beyond the completion of FUP. This plan is priced at Rs 199.

BSNL BBG Combo ULD 300GB and 600GB Plans

Lastly, BSNL has come up with two more plans with data benefit of 300GB and 600GB for a monthly rental of Rs 299 and Rs 399. They also offer 20 Mbps data speed, but up to 10GB per day and 20GB per day. After the completion of FUP, download speed will be reduced to 1 Mbps and will be restored once the clock ticks 12 AM in the midnight.

Do make a note that the data speed of 20 Mbps will be limited to the daily FUP and users can download as much as they can with the post FUP speed of 1 Mbps and there’s no limit for the same. BSNL also offers one free email ID and 1GB of storage space.

As mentioned, these are promotional plans valid for 90 days from the date of introduction, but BSNL might extend them if the demand for these plans is high. The company also confirmed that old users could not migrate to these plans because they’ve introduced aiming new users in mind. Also, a security deposit amount of Rs 500 will be collected from every new customer. Here comes the major part: after six months, users will be forced to migrate onto another broadband plan, which will be discussed at the time of migration.
