At this point, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is making moves after moves in the market and sending waves which are helping it draw customers and retain them as well. As per the report on subscriber base for the February month, the telecom operator managed to add around 900,000 subscribers to its base which was although not a highly impressive number but much better than Airtel and Vodafone Idea which lost subscribers in the same month instead of making new additions. In its latest move, BSNL has again revised a couple of its plans to offer different data, validity or brought another change. These plans which have been revised by BSNL were STVs in the BSNL prepaid portfolio, and now they provide more data.

Revised Benefits of STV 35, STV 53 and STV 395

The first plan in the BSNL prepaid portfolio to change is the STV 35 which previously used to offer 200MB data. However, BSNL has done a massive flip to this plan, and now the STV is providing 5GB data to the subscribers for a validity period of 5 days. Notably, BSNL has not made any changes to the validity of this plan and it previously also used to offer five days’ worth of data, but now the data offering has been increased by almost 25 times.

The next plan in this roster to change is the STV 53 for Rs 53 which previously used to offer 250MB data to the subscribers for 21 days. However, now this STV will offer a whopping 8GB data, but the validity of this plan has been cut short by seven days down to 14 days. Given, the latest data trends but, the shortening of validity seems about right since there’s a slim chance that subscribers are going to extend their 8GB data for 21 days.

Lastly, the STV 395 has also been revised by the state-run telco to offer unlimited calling and national roaming except to Mumbai and Delhi circles and FUP data of 2GB per day, with the post-FUP speed throttling down to 80 Kbps. The validity of this plan stays put at 71 days. Previously, this plan did not use to ship many benefits to the subscribers on the calling front and only used to bundle 3000 minutes on net voice calls and 1800 minutes off-net voice calls along with the 2GB per day data. However, there is no cap on calling in this plan now.

BSNL Changes Benefits of Rs 666 Prepaid Plan

In related news, BSNL has also recently withdrawn two of its plans the PV 999 and the PV 2099. Both of these plans used to come with 365 days validity and used to offer different daily data benefits. Additionally, BSNL has extended the validity of its BSNL Sixer 666 plan which previously used to come with 122 days validity, but now offers 134 days of benefits to the users.
