Bharti Airtel Silently Rolls Out Data Add-On Packs to Counter Jio

To counter Reliance Jio’s extremely competitive pricing and to give them a jab Bharti Airtel took to a covert strategy and released a data add-on pack which has been priced at Rs 193. Airtel silently rolled out the plan firstly in the Punjab circle followed by more popular circles like Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Karnataka, Delhi and other. Alongside the Rs 193 pack, Airtel also released an entry-level data add-on pack which is meagrely priced at Rs 49. With the launch of these two packs, now there is some confusion among the crowd as to what these plans are and what benefits they come with. Down below we have explained in detail about the data benefits and other perks which these plans ship, along with the very economic pricing.

Airtel

Airtel's data add-on pack differs from Reliance Jio's data add-on pack. Reliance Jio has a bunch of add-on packs ranging from Rs 11 to Rs 101, and they offer a fixed amount of data. For example, the Rs 101 data add-on pack gives 6GB of data. But the functionality of both the add-on packs from Jio and Airtel is the same. They come with the validity of the unlimited combo plan. For example, if you're on the Rs 198 plan of Jio and recharge the Rs 101 data add-on pack, then you'll receive additional 6GB data with the validity of Rs 198 plan, and the same applies to long validity plans.

The scenario is pretty similar to Bharti Airtel as well. But the benefit differs though. Airtel's Rs 193 data add-on pack provides 1GB data per day on top of the existing unlimited combo plan.

For instance, if you're on Airtel's Rs 509 prepaid unlimited combo plan which offers benefits of 1.4GB data per day for 90 days. If you recharge the Rs 193 add-on pack on top of Rs 509 plan, then you can enjoy 2.4GB data per day for the same 90 days. The same applies to all the Airtel's unlimited prepaid combo plans such as Rs 199, Rs 349, Rs 399, Rs 448, etc.

This is one of the best offerings from Bharti Airtel till date, and of course, no one is aware of this data add-on pack.

Alongside the Rs 193 data add-on pack, Airtel also has a Rs 49 prepaid data add-on plan, which gives benefits of 1GB on top of the existing tariff plan benefit. So, if you recharge this Rs 49 add-on pack on top of Rs 509 plan, you will get 1.4GB data per day and 1GB data for the entire validity period of 90 days.

That said, these are segmented offers from Airtel and is already live in some circles as mentioned above.
