Also, after the data tariff war, there are a few areas where Bharti Airtel is working hard like in the space of increased 4G connectivity, 5G readiness, increase in ARPU and more. Now, Bharti Airtel has announced that it has connected 297 towns and 35,674 villages across Rajasthan under its 4G network. It is worth noting that Bharti Airtel is the top telecom operator in the Rajasthan circle and it boasts of having 20 million customers in the state. Airtel has also launched a network expansion drive which will further increase its capacity and coverage of the 4G network.

Airtel Ahead of Competition in Rajasthan Circle

Bharti Airtel has also been noted as the provider of highest download speeds in the country by the India State of Mobile Networks report by Tutela in February 2019. Nidhi Lauria, CEO - Rajasthan, Bharti Airtel spoke about the network expansion as she said, “To bring more and more customers onto the digital highway, we are committed to further expanding our 4G services across Rajasthan. The availability of budget-friendly smartphones is driving a massive uptake of 4G data, and Airtel aims to be the 4G network of choice of customers in Rajasthan with its superior data experience. Airtel’s affordable plans and packs offer access to exciting digital services like music, movies, LIVE TV on mobile and we invite customers to experience our 4G network.”

Focus on Remote Connectivity in State

Airtel was also the first operator to launch 3G and 4G services in the Rajasthan region, and now the telco has expanded its reach to even the most far off places in the state including remote areas like Myajlar-Jaisalmer, Jaisindhar Station-Barmer, Lagtala–Jaisalmer, 20BD-Bikaner. Bharti Airtel has also named its network transformation program as Project Leap, and under the plan, it will be rolling out more than 5,000 new mobile sites across the region in FY 2019-20. The program will aim to increase network capacity, and it will also focus on taking services deeper into rural and unconnected areas. As per the plan chalked out by Airtel, the company will be deploying five new mobile sites a day across the entire region.

With the new plan in action, the number of Airtel mobile sites in the region will go up by 20%, and they will considerably enhance the network experience for customers. Bharti Airtel has also announced that it will roll out 600 kms of optic fibre in the region which will push its fibre-optic footprint to 21,200 km and also the expanded fibre reach will help in the growth of high-speed data services in Rajasthan.
