Bharti Airtel Improves Indoor 4G Network Coverage in Mumbai With LTE 900 Technology

One of the top telecom operators of the country, Bharti Airtel boosts its 4G network coverage with LTE 900 technology in Mumbai, India. With the introduction of 4G network on 900 Mhz band will significantly improve the network coverage inside the house for the users in turn the users will have a seamless browsing experience even in indoor situations.

On Friday, Bharti Airtel announced that the telecom operator has upgraded its 4G network in Mumbai with the deployment of LTE 900 technology. This will significantly improve the network experience for all the smartphone users in the country. The telecom operator further reveals that with the rollout of 4G in the superior 900 Mhz spectrum band Airtel becomes Maharashtra’s ‘fastest’ mobile network. Airtel also reveals that the users will get additional high-speed data capacity.

Further talking about offering high propagation and reach of the 900 Mhz spectrum, Bharti Airtel highlights that users using the network will be able to enjoy improved 4G availability not just in the outdoors, but also inside buildings, homes, offices and also malls. The telecom operator says that with this initiative Airtel will be able to offer wider availability of 4G network across Mumbai.

Commenting on the move Amit Tripathi, CEO -- Mumbai, Bharti Airtel Ltd says, “Our endeavor is to deliver best-in-class network experience to our customers. The deployment of LTE 900 will further boost Airtel’s 4G coverage, particularly inside homes and buildings. Airtel smartphone customers will enjoy a seamless high-speed data and HD quality calling experience on our upgraded network. We will continue to invest aggressively in deployment of latest network technologies to delight our customers.”

Fastest mobile network in Mumbai

Bharti Airtel has revealed that the telecom operator has been rated as fastest mobile network in 27 states across India, which also includes Maharashtra. Airtel reveals that in Mumbai it uses a solid spectrum bank - 2300 Mhz (TD LTE), 1800 Mhz (FD LTE), and 900 Mhz (LTE 900) with the aim to offer the fastest 4G service to its users. The telecom operator also says that it has deployed advanced network technologies and tools like pre-5G Massive MIMO and 4G Advanced Carrier Aggregation. With these deployments Airtel aims to step up its high-speed network capacity and coverage in the state of Maharashtra.

Currently, Airtel has over 8.4 million customers in Mumbai who are trusted. To recall, the telcom operator recently announced that it will expand its network in Mumbai by rolling out “7000 new mobile broadband sites and 400 Kms of fresh optic fiber during FY 19 under its network transformation program – Project Leap” in the near future.
