According to a survey conducted by UBS Evidence Lab, Airtel customers are the highly satisfied ones when various factors such as data speeds, network coverage, and customer support are taken into consideration. Further, it reveals that Airtel customers have higher levels satisfaction with 62 percent of them being very satisfied and 33 percent of them being somewhat satisfied.

When compared to the same satisfaction levels of Reliance Jio, the incumbent operator is slightly ahead of the new entrant. Among the Jio users, 64 percent of its subscribers are very satisfied, and another 31 percent are somewhat satisfied with its services. The report also said that when they limited the overall active user count by 15 percent, the satisfaction levels went up to as high as 72 percent.

According to the analyzations made by the firm on different attributes, Jio tops in offering best data speeds, value for money, and attractive promotional packages, but falls short of Airtel on network coverage, reliability, and in-building network reach.

The report also confirms that Jio’s voice quality is not that poor, contrary to what other reports claimed in recent times. The voice call quality is on par with rival telecom operators, even with the VoLTE technology.

Finally, Jio is behind other operators in other aspects such as customer service and technical support. When Jio started offering services to the public, its customer support was terrible, but it has improved a lot in recent times. However, getting connected to customer care executive in peak times is still a painful job, and that’s exactly what the report claims as well.

The firm says that it’s important for Jio to provide good customer support to stay in competition with operators such as Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea which are providing much better customer support than the former.

Furthermore, the survey states that the users prefer Reliance Jio based on the value for money aspect, while Vodafone is leading the good customer services department. Surprisingly, customers are looking to stay with Idea Cellular for the data speed it offers, and most of them are looking to move away from Vodafone due to the slow data speed it offers.
