Bharti Airtel will soon be coming up with a yearly tariff plan of Rs 995, which sits nicely alongside the already existing Rs 3999 prepaid tariff plan. The Rs 995 tariff plan is already available for select users in select circles, and it offers benefits for 360 days. And with this plan, Airtel is offering benefits of unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and 1GB data per month. But it will be a segmented plan from Airtel, and the benefits will differ with the customer to customer and circle to circle. But Airtel might make it an open market plan in the coming weeks to overcome the threat of Reliance Jio.

Airtel's Rs 995 tariff plan will provide users with unlimited voice calls including roaming calls, 100 SMS per day and 1GB data per month in some circles. And in some circles, the same tariff plan will offer unlimited voice calls (roaming calls too) and 1GB data per month without any SMS benefit. And there are changes that the plan will offer only unlimited voice calls in some circles.

As per Airtel's website, voice calls are unlimited without any daily or weekly FUP limit as the company already removed the FUP limit. So with this plan, voice calls will be unlimited on-par with Reliance Jio's offering.

At Rs 995, Airtel will be offering unlimited voice calls, which is a good thing. Already, most of the Airtel prepaid subscribers across the country have started using unlimited combo plans which come bundled with voice and data.

Recently, I reported about this plan from Airtel, and in the same article, I mentioned about Airtel's new Rs 193 data add-on pack. Back then, the data add-on availability was limited to just Punjab users, but now, when I checked on My Airtel app and website, the Rs 193 is valid for all the prepaid numbers in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana circle.

That said, if you're eligible for the Rs 995 yearly plan, you can recharge with the Rs 193 data add-on pack which gives 1GB data per day for one year. Basically, the Rs 193 data add-on pack's benefit is 1GB data per day on top of existing unlimited combo plan, and the validity is also as per the unlimited combo plan.

Here's how it goes: recharge with the Rs 995 yearly plan and Rs 193 data add-on pack- and a user will receive benefits of unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and 12GB data along with 1GB data per day for 360 days. Sounds attractive, right? Well, let's hope that Airtel introduces the Rs 995 tariff plan as an open market and not a segmented offer.
