Day 5 spectrum auction 2015 report: Total bid amount crosses Rs.94,000 Crore

The spectrum auction has completed its 5th day with 7 clock rounds of bidding bringing the total to 31 rounds. It is projected that the total bid amount crossed Rs.94,000 Crore today surpassing the 86,000 Crore target set by the government. Airtel adds the most number of rural subscribers in January 2015

The total GSM rural subscriber base in India as of January 2015 stands at 325.64 million. The highest number of rural GSM subscribers are from UP East circle 34.39 million.
