Asus Unveils Zenfone 4, Zenfone 4 Pro, Zenfone 4 Selfie, Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro, Zenfone 4 Max Pro at a Global Event

Earlier today, Taiwanese smartphone brand, Asus launched the Zenfone Zoom S smartphone in India at Rs. 26,999. It is already known that the brand is expected to unveil Zenfone 4 smartphones at a global event in Taiwan today. And yes, Asus announced its wide range of Zenfone 4 smartphones today.

The brand has introduced Asus ZenFone 4, Zenfone 4 Pro, Zenfone 4 Selfie, Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro, Zenfone 4 Max and Zenfone 4 Max Pro today. Starting the things off with the standard Zenfone 4, it comes as a successor to last year's Zenfone 3.

The standard Zenfone 4 comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, with a 2.5D glass and Gorilla Glass technology on top. The smartphone draws power from the mid-range Snapdragon 660 chipset and offers up to 6GB of RAM. The device comes with 64GB of internal storage and is backed by a 3300mAh battery. A fingerprint scanner is built into the capacitive home button of the phone.

The highlight of the Zenfone 4 is its rear camera. Asus has added two 12MP sensors at the back. The primary sensor is a 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor with 1.4-micron pixels, f/1.8 aperture, and OIS support. The secondary sensor is a wide-angle one, which captures 120-degree wide-angle shots, same as the flagship LG G6.

Asus Zenfone 4 Pro

As it was rumoured all along, the Asus Zenfone 4 Pro is the company's flagship phone for 2017, which comes with high-end hardware, and dual cameras, but retains the same large bezels. The smartphone has a 5.7-inch Full HD AMOLED display, paired with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and 6GB of RAM.

The device is backed by a massive 3600mAh battery and comes with two cameras at the back. The Zenfone Pro has a f/1.7 primary sensor, followed by another sensor with 2X zoom capabilities. The smartphone has a powerful 16MP front-facing camera as well. Both the Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4 Pro feature glass back and metal rim around the sides, together making the device look gorgeous.

Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie and Selfie Pro

For selfie lovers, Asus introduced two new selfie centred smartphones, namely, the Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie and the Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro. Both the smartphones feature two front-facing cameras. The premium Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro has a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and records 4K videos. The smartphone has a 12MP front-facing camera which can shoot 24MP images, along with another sensor for wide-angle selfies. At the back of the phone is a single 16MP rear camera.

On the flip side, the standard Zenfone 4 Selfie comes with a 20MP selfie camera along with a secondary sensor. The smartphone is powered by an unnamed Qualcomm chipset, probably the Snapdragon 430 SoC, and has 4GB of RAM.

Asus Zenfone 4 Max and Zenfone 4 Max Pro

Two months ago, Asus unveiled the standard Asus Zenfone 4 Max with entry-level specs and a massive battery of 5000mAh battery. Today, the brand announced a new Zenfone 4 Max Pro smartphone with improved rear and front cameras.

The Zenfone 4 Max and Max Pro has a 5.5-inch HD display, coupled with either Snapdragon 425 or Snapdragon 430 chipsets. Both the phones are dual SIM supported and come with dual rear cameras.

The Zenfone 4 Max comes with a 13MP primary rear camera, and a 5MP secondary sensor and an 8MP sensor adores the front. The Zenfone 4 Max Pro offers a better 16MP primary rear sensor and a 5MP secondary rear sensor. There a 16MP front-facing camera as well in the Zenfone 4 Max Pro. Both the phones have a massive 5000mAh battery.

All the Zenfone 4 models announced today runs Zen UI 4.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat and is almost bloat-free, which is what the company is highlighting. The Indian launch of the products is unknown at the moment. We will update the pricing of all the phones once Asus sends out a press statement.
