Diving into the specifications of the smartphone, the Zoom S' highlight is the dual rear camera. Asus has added two 12MP sensors at the back. A 12MP primary sensor with a f/1.7-aperture, 25mm wide-angle main lens paired with a 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor with large 1.4µm pixels (1/2.55in sensor size); and a dedicated 59mm, 12MP zoom camera with a 2.3X true optical zoom and 12X of total zoom. The camera tech seems to be an innovative one.

Furthermore, Asus is powering the smartphone with its SuperPixel camera which enables users to shoot photos quickly. The Zenfone Zoom S also features Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) for photos and can record 4K videos. The phone also comes with a 13MP selfie camera with PixelMaster 3.0 camera, f/2.0 aperture, SONY IMX214 sensor, and a five-element lens.

Some of the Asus Zenfone Zoom S camera features:

  • Four-axis Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and three-axis Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) to counter hand movements from blurring photos or making videos appear shaky
  • RGB Color-correction sensor that automatically adjusts the colours in a photo to look natural and accurate
  • 48MP Super Resolution mode that combines four native 12MP photos to create a single large image with exceptional 4X clarity, greater detail and less noise
  • 19 different unique and versatile modes that optimize the camera to shoot scenes or add special effects to photos

Despite the camera, the phone also has the competitive hardware for the asking price of Rs. 26,999. The device has a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display is a 2.5D curved one and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 technology.

The device weighs in at 170 grams, even though packing a massive 5000mAh battery, and measures 154.3 x 77 x 7.99mm. It will be available in Navy Black and Glacier Silver colour options.
