The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is a pretty old phone now. Users expected Asus to roll out the Android 9 Pie update to Zenfone Max Pro M1 before. But better late than never Asus on Thursday officially announced that Zenfone Max Pro M1 users are now receiving the Android 9 Pie beta update. There are no official words when the stable version of Android 9 Pie will roll out to the users. Considering the beta update of Pie is now rolling out the stable build is not very far. Asus announced the Android 9 Pie beta rollout for Zenfone Max Pro M1 and the Taiwanese company also announced that they are currently accepting applications to test the Zenfone Max Pro M1 beta on their website. The company also informed that the Zenfone Max Pro M1 users who have experienced a pre-released software before can submit their requests to become a part of the beta programme. It is worth noting that a pre-released software isn’t the final version and comes with lots of bugs and issues.

The stable version of Android 9 Pie for the Zenfone Max Pro M1 is said to be released soon after the company learns that there are no more bugs or any other problems in the update package. With the help of the beta programme, Asus wants some help in resolving all the bugs and issues. Announcing the Android 9 Pie beta update for Zenfone Max Pro M1, Asus noted in its website, "This programme gives you access to early updates for feedback and testing so that the official Android Pie update is served as delicious and stable as you'd like it.”

The Zenfone Max Pro M1 users who are interested to participate in the beta programme will need to visit the company website and register their interest there. To register Asus will need to share some of their phone's information like IMEI information, serial number, and current firmware details. Further commenting on the Android 9 Pie beta rollout for Zenfone Max Pro M1 Asus said, “Please keep in mind that this is beta software programme, the beta software updates are sometimes not as stable as our official Software Updates. By installing this update, you accept the potential risks.”

Asus launched the Zenfone Max Pro M1 back in April 2018 and at that time the phone was running on Android 8.1 Oreo. Back then Asus had announced that Zenfone Max Pro M1 would get Android 9 Pie update by the end of February 2019 and that’s exactly what has happened.
