Asus Zenfone 5Z Up for Sale in India at Rs 29,999 Along With Rs 3,000 Discount Offer

Asus Zenfone 5Z is the new talk of the town, thanks to its specifications and affordable price tag. For those who’re waiting since the official announcement last week, the Zenfone 5Z is now available for grabs exclusively on e-commerce portal Flipkart. The base variant of the handset is priced at Rs 29,999, but a customer with ICICI Credit or Debit card can purchase the handset with an additional discount of Rs 3,000, which brings down the price of the smartphone to Rs 26,999. And at that price, Asus is providing a 19:9 display, top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB of RAM, dual rear cameras and lots of AI goodness packed into the ZenUI. Including the discount offer, the base variant of Zenfone 5Z costs Rs 8,000 less than that of the OnePlus 6’s

base variant, which also provides the same amount of RAM and internal storage.

The Asus Zenfone 5Z

is a flagship smartphone and it packs high-end specifications. The latest debutant from Asus rocks a 5.2-inch Full HD+ display on the front, carrying a resolution of 1080×2246 pixels and 18.7:9 aspect ratio. The display on this device is protected by an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass. At the heart of the phone, we get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, mated with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal storage. Unlike other manufacturers who often remove microSD card slot on their high-end devices, Asus has included it on the Zenfone 5Z, and it accepts up to 2TB of SD cards.

It’s a dual-SIM smartphone with both the SIM cards supporting 4G. Other connectivity options in the handset include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and USB Type-C port. The fingerprint scanner on the Zenfone 5Z is placed on the rear side, and it even offers Face Unlock functionality. The phone runs ZenUI 5.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. It’s fuelled by a 3300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support.

Optics wise, the Zenfone 5Z boasts dual rear cameras of a primary 12MP shooter with f/1.8 aperture, OIS and an 8MP secondary shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone offers an 8MP front-facing camera.

The Asus Zenfone 5Z price in India starts at Rs 29,999 for the base variant and goes up to Rs 36,999 for the high-end version. The 6GB/64GB option is priced at Rs 29,999; the 6GB/128GB storage option retails for Rs 32,999, while the variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage is priced at Rs 36,999. Launch offers for the Zenfone 5Z include flat Rs 3,000 discount on ICICI Credit/Debit cards, Rs 2,200 cashback from telecom operator Reliance Jio along with additional 100GB of 4G data. Lastly, the Flipkart Complete Mobile Protection plan for the Zenfone 5Z will be available at a price of Rs 499.
