Apple, a tech giant, has made it very simple for passengers to find their lost baggage with the help of airlines. Apple's AirTag, which is available worldwide now, can be put inside the bag. This much, almost all of us know. We can track where our bag is through the FindMy platform from Apple. However, at the moment, you can't share the location with any other entity or company that can help with locating the bag.
On travelling with airlines, it is quite common that bags get misplaced or go to some place else. In such situations, now iPhone users running iOS 18.2 public beta will be able to share the live location of the bag (which has the AirTag) from the FindMy platform with the airline. Users will simply be able to share the location with airlines by generating the 'Share Item Location Link' through their iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The recepient will be able to open this link and see an interactive map which will show the location of the bag.
