Apple iOS 8 will be released worldwide to compatible devices on September 17

Right after the rocking the world with iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, Apple on Tuesday declared the official release date for its next-generation iOS 8 mobile operating system which will come pre-installed with the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. The new iOS 8 will be available for download on September 17 to other devices in the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad line-up.

It has the same aesthetics as iOS 7, but is packed with new features and enhanced applications. There is a new predictive text keyboard, iMessage has been updated with voice messaging and self-destructing photo features and a Health app which tracks fitness activity. Other important features include iCloud Drive, Extensions, widgets and continuity features. Read all the iOS features here.
