India's top 3 telecom operators; Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea have hiked the prices of its on-net 10p/min calling STV (Special Tariff Voucher) in the Kolkata circle.
India's largest telecom operator, Airtel, has hiked its on-net 10p/min calling voucher to Rs. 123 from an earlier price of Rs. 97, while Vodafone did similar changes for its prepaid users, and the new price of its rate-cutter plan is Rs. 118 as opposed to an earlier price of Rs. 98.
As Idea Cellular has lowest GSM user-base in the Kolkata circle, it has maintained low pricing strategy to gain some market share. It has revised the old on-net rate-cutter plan of Rs. 79 to Rs. 91, which now offers 10p/min on-net calling with a validity of 30 days.
