Airtel TV to Offer Free Live Stream of FIFA World Cup in Hindi, English and Other Local Languages

Airtel TV, the OTT content application of Bharti Airtel announced the free live streaming of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2018 football matches in Hindi, English and various local languages. Airtel stated that it rolled out a new update to both Android and iOS users bringing in a lot of new features to optimise the user experience throughout the tournament. All the Airtel users can watch the entire tournament for free as the telco recently announced the free service extension until December 31, 2018, owing to the app' success in recent times.

As mentioned, Airtel has rolled out new features to the application and both Android, iOS users have to update the app from the respective apps stores to get the latest features. Airtel TV users will also have access to match schedules and other updates related to the game. To augment the excitement further, users will also be able to enjoy exclusive behind the scenes match snippets along with match previews/ reviews with Airtel TV.

One of the best features is the tournament will be live streamed in various local languages in addition to Hindi and English. Airtel says that it has made this move keeping in mind the diverse Indian landscape with football fans spread all over.

Just a few hours ago, Reliance Jio announced the free live streaming of FIFA 2018 World Cup through JioTV and now, Airtel announced the same. Airtel TV has grown leaps and bounds this year as it was the most downloaded video OTT application in India during January and February 2018. Riding on the same success, Airtel announced that the service would be available for free to all the Airtel prepaid and postpaid customers for the next six months.
