Recently, telecom operators have started a trend of reducing data rates in many circles after continuously hiking data rates for a few months. Now, Airtel has added more data in existing packs for its prepaid users in Himachal Pradesh. A few days back, Idea Cellular revised all their prepaid packs in some circles by adding more data in them. This move of reducing data rates or adding extra data in existing packs came when operators are facing stiff competition, and keeping in mind Reliance Jio's impending 4G LTE launch with dirt cheap data rates that could hurt incumbents. So, telecom operators are rapidly revising data packs by adding extra benefits to make their current customers happy.
Airtel users in the Himachal Pradesh circle can avail 1GB of 3G data at Rs. 249 instead of an earlier pricing of. Rs 297. Those who surf the web more can get 15GB of 3G data at only Rs. 1,849 as compared to was offering earlier 10GB of 3G data (with a validity for 28 days).
