Airtel Launches Battery Operated Carts For Physically Handicapped In MumbaiBharti Airtel has launched `Airtel Express’, battery operated cars to help physically challenged and senior citizens to navigate within a railway station and transport them to their trains. These are available both at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Mumbai Central stations, and can accommodate 3 persons per trip.

Airtel Express can be availed by calling 9004292222 for CST or by placing a request at the information desk.This initiative is being supported by the Central Railways and will be maintained by Srishti Communications in association with Airtel.




“We at Airtel have always believed in presenting our customers with unique services that ease their lives and Airtel Express is one such initiative in this direction. We hope this initiative brings a smile to all the physically challenged, senior citizens or any passenger who has difficulty in walking long distances,” Bharti Airtel CEO (Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa) Ramesh Menon said.

In 2005, the Airtel Express was launched in Chennai as well.
