Bharti Airtel has been a strong postpaid player since the beginning in the telecom playing field. However, with the introduction of new postpaid plans by Reliance Jio and other telcos, the top position of Airtel has been threatened. In order to stay ahead of the curve in postpaid subscriber count, Airtel has recently introduced a new referral scheme for the existing Airtel postpaid users. As part of this offer, Airtel is offering Rs 150 discount coupons for both the referrer and the referee. This Rs 150 discount coupon will be redeemable by the customers over next bill payment via the My Airtel app. Existing Airtel postpaid subscribers who want to generate a referral link to send to their friends can do so in the My Airtel app. Airtel has made this referral programme live for all users across the country.

Airtel Postpaid Referral Programme: Everything You Need to Know

Airtel postpaid referral programme is a simple three-step process which rewards both you and your friend with Rs 150 bill discount coupons. These bill discount coupons will be credited to your My Airtel account in the form of three Rs 50 coupons. The Rs 150 discount coupons will be credited to your My Airtel account within 24 hours post successful activation of the Airtel postpaid connection of your friend.

Also, Airtel states that a person can share his unique referral link with as many people, but the reward will be given for ten successful referrals only. In addition, the discount coupons can only be used during the postpaid bill payment of the registered numbers for both the referee and the referrer.

Lastly, as mentioned above, the discount coupons will only be applicable on bill payments of the registered number of the referrer or the referee via My Airtel app only.

Airtel Postpaid Referral Programme: How to Invite a Person?

The Airtel Postpaid Referral programme is a simple three-step process. Firstly, this programme is applicable only to the Airtel postpaid users and they've to download My Airtel from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. After downloading the app, check for the notifications area inside the My Airtel app, where you can see the notification of Airtel Postpaid referral scheme.

Click on that and the app will take you to the screen where you can generate your referral link. After generating the link, share it with your friends.

If your friend clicks on the link and completes the online process, and an Airtel executive will visit his/her home and completes the Airtel postpaid connection activation. Within 24 hours of activation, both of you will receive Rs 150 bill discount coupons on My Airtel app.

Bharti Airtel Aiming to Boost its Postpaid User Base

Airtel's ARPU is dipping with every passing quarter and the company can only increase it by adding more postpaid users. Recently, it also made a change to the Rs 399 postpaid plan which now comes bundled with Amazon Prime subscription worth Rs 999 free. And now, it has come up with this Postpaid referral scheme where a user can earn rewards for making other users join the Airtel postpaid network.
