Airtel expands 4G services in Bihar and Chhattisgarh, new promotional offers announced

Airtel 4G services continue to expand across the country, with the latest launch announced in Bihar and Chhattisgarh. Raipur and Bilaspur of Chhattisgarh and Patna, Gaya, Siwan, Motihari and Bhagalpur of Bihar are the newly added locales to the Airtel 4G map.

Commenting on the launch, Dharmender Khajuria, Chief Executive Officer, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, Bharti Airtel Limited said, “We are delighted to launch our 4G services in Chhattisgarh. Our valued customers can now upgrade to 4G at no additional cost with our value for money plans for pre-paid, post-paid and devices. We invite customers to enjoy a superfast digital experience on Airtel 4G.”

The upgrade to 4G is free in both the states. There are also a wide array of tariff plans announced at the places.

Customers can upgrade to 4G free of charge and enjoy exciting data offers, and choose from a host of affordable tariff plans that offer great value. We will continue to invest in Bihar to expand our high speed 4G footprint across the state to add to our 3G, 2G offerings,” said Ajai Puri, Director – Operations (India & South Asia), Bharti Airtel.

In Bihar, special demo zones and kiosks have been installed at Airtel Stores and franchisee retail stores, so that the people can try the services themselves.

Airtel 4G offers in Bihar and Chhattisgarh

While Airtel prepaid customers with new 4G handsets can avail 10 GB 4G data for Rs. 249 in Chhattisgarh, the same tariff plan costs Rs. 247 in Bihar. The 1GB in this 10GB offer will get credited to the subscriber’s account instantaneously. The additional 9 GB data can be claimed by the customer through My Airtel app. Users can avail a maximum of three recharges within 90 days, on the offer.

There are postpaid offers as well. Airtel’s Infinity plans start from Rs. 1199 and it will offer 4G data with unlimited voice calls for STD, local and roaming. Using Airtel MyPlan, the customers can design their own plans as well.

For prepaid customers, there is an Airtel 4G Prepaid pack for Rs. 1495, offering free 4G data for 90 days. The pack that costs Rs. 1498 (Rs. 1499 in Bihar) offers 6GB 4G data upfront and the customers can get 1GB 4G at Rs. 54 (Rs. 51 in Bihar) for the next 12 months. The usual monthly 4G plans start from Rs. 450. The advance rental plans start from Rs. 4500/- to avail the new device free-of-cost.

Airtel has also revised its MyAirtel App with new apps that can serve the subscribers with a host of entertainment features.

Airtel has deployed FD LTE technology in the 1800 Mhz band across Chhattisgarh. In Bihar, the services have been rolled out using dual spectrum bands of 1800 MHz (FD LTE) and 2300 MHz (TD LTE), making Bihar one among the few states in India to have an integrated dual-band Airtel 4G network. More places in Bihar will get the 4G services in the upcoming months.
