Aircel to add 346 new 3G sites by December in Kolkata to bolster network

Aircel, one of India’s leading innovative telecom service providers, today announced an aggressive expansion plan to create a robust 3G network Kolkata. The company will be adding close to 350 new 3G sites by end 2015, on the back of which, it expects to welcome more than two lakh customers to the Aircel family, enabling them to enjoy a data speed of up to 21 Mbps. On this occasion, Aircel also launched a special 3G data recharge pack of Rs. 175 that would assure a host of free assured benefits during the upcoming Durga Puja.

To usher in the festive season, Aircel’s special 3G data recharge of Rs. 175 would offer customers assured free benefits such as Rs. 100 of talk time, 200 minutes of Aircel to Aircel calling, 250 local SMS, 500 MB 3G data or extra validity of 30 days. This exciting benefit, when coupled with Aircel’s robust network will provide an uninterrupted experience to customers.

With the addition of the new 3G sites, Aircel will have more than 4000 sites in the city and the expansion will fuel the constantly growing subscriber base of the company. Aircel consistently upgrades and optimizes its existing network to increase capacity, achieve higher efficiency and reduce existing pressure on networks.
