Vodafone India has silently made a big change to its unlimited combo tariff plan of Rs. 349. Vodafone is now offering 1.5GB data with the Rs. 349 plan, instead of the 1GB data it used to offer earlier. This change from Vodafone is due to Airtel and Idea Cellular's change, and especially to keep its subscriber base alive.
With this new change, Vodafone is now offering unlimited voice calls including local & STD calls, free unlimited national roaming calls, and a free subscription to Vodafone Play. Sadly, the operator is not offering any SMS benefits with this plan. Also, the voice calls are limited to just 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. This plan is valid for 28 days.
Just a few days ago, Vodafone made a massive change of offering unlimited roaming outgoing calls to the same plan, and now they have increased the data offering as well. Finally, there' something for Vodafone subscribers to cheer about as the operator was not in the race of tariff plans for a while now.
Also, do make a note that this new change are already live in Mumbai, Gujarat subscribers, which we've already confirmed. That said, we're not sure about the new data increase reflection for all the plans though.
Another thing to note here is that the price of the plans differs with each circle. For example, the same plan is priced at Rs. 349 for Mumbai subscribers, whereas it costs Rs. 357 for some circles. You can head over to Vodafone application to check the exact price in your circle, and the best of this tariff plan is that it's an open market offer and not a select customer plan.
Aforesaid, Vodafone is making these changes due to Airtel and Idea Cellular's tariff plan changes in recent times. Airtel with its Rs. 349 plan is also offering 1.5GB data per day, unlimited voice calls (including outgoing roaming calls) for 28 days, whereas Idea Cellular has a Rs. 357 open market plan which also gives same benefits of 1.5GB data per day, unlimited voice calls for 28 days.
