Everyone knows the success story of Airtel’s mChek-M-commerce service; it’s now Tata Indicom’s turn to launch the same over its Mobile services. Tata Teleservices on Thursday announced the launch of a pre-paid top-up and post-paid bill payment services through SMS.

The company has entered into a partnership with mChek to offer this service in the domestic telecom space, a company statement issued here said. The payment can be made using by Visa or Mastercard credit card issued by any bank in India, the release said.

mChek is a service which makes payments easy through SMS. Be it any kind of transaction - paying bills, buying tickets, etc your bill is settled through an SMS.To avail the service over Tata Indicom; subscribers have to send an SMS "PAY TATA" to 59909 from their Tata Indicom mobile phone.

They will then receive a automated call back on the phone to register their credit card number and approval for the transaction, the statement added.
