Vodafone India is on a launch spree. After unveiling a dedicated student offer for Delhi NCR circle students, the company has now announced yet another circle-specific offer for Goa & Maharashtra Circles.
India' second largest telecom operator, Vodafone yesterday unveiled a first recharge plan (FRC) of Rs. 445 for its customers in Goa & Maharashtra circles. The all new FRC 445 provides the users 1GB of data, and unlimited voice calls for 84 days. However, customers can avail these benefits only if they have a 4G handset.
And for users who don't have a 4G handset, Vodafone will offer unlimited local and STD calls, but the data offering is limited to just 2GB. And yes, the validity would be just 35 days. Furthermore, Vodafone confirmed that this new plan wouldn't be applicable for Mumbai city though. Rest of the regions under Goa & Maharashtra are eligible for this new FRC plan.
“Mobile customers using 4G handsets will get 84 GB data, and unlimited local and STD calls valid over 84 days. Non-4G handset users, on the other hand, can enjoy 2GB data and unlimited local and STD calls valid over 35 days,” said Ashish Chandra, business head- Maharashtra & Goa, Vodafone India.
Vodafone is aggressively launching new tariff plans these days. The operator also introduced a few Super Hour plans a couple of days ago of Rs. 7 and Rs. 21. The Rs. 7 Super Hour pack provides unlimited Vodafone to Vodafone calls for one hour, whereas the Rs. 21 Super Hour plan gives unlimited data for an hour. That said, Vodafone has been successful with its Super Hour plans across the country.
Besides these, the operator has another circle specific tariff plan of Rs. 244 (price differs with the circle), under which Vodafone is offering 1GB data per day and unlimited Vodafone to Vodafone calls (300 mins/day, 1200 mins/week).
Vodafone has been aggressively launching new tariff plans ever since the start of Q2 FY2018. Having said that, Vodafone did not reveal when it's going to launch the FRC 445 plan on a pan-India basis.
