It has been a long wait for Android users. Nintendo's Super Mario Run, the game which was released for Apple iOS users back in December 2016 will finally land in Google Play Store on March 23. Nintendo of America has informed the news on their official Twitter handle.
To recall, the Super Mario Run was first announced at the Apple iPhone 7 launch event in September 2016, and the game was released to the general public in December. The game is available to download for free from the Apple App Store, but after completing some levels, users have to pay $9.99 (approx. Rs. 660) to unlock the complete game.
Nintendo will be releasing the Super Mario Run version 2.0.0 for Android users, which essentially means that all the new features included in the latest iOS version will be added to the initial release of Android. The company already opened the preregistrations for the application, which means that you'll be able to get the game ahead of others and Google will notify you once the game goes live in Google Play Store.
In Super Mario Run, users will be tasked with running and at the same time collecting coins and crossing various levels. In the modern Super Mario Run, users have to obtain three different coin colours and the difficulty level increases by each colour.
The Super Mario Run was made available for iOS in 151 countries, and we're expecting the same to happen with Android as well. Are you excited about the Super Mario Run landing on March 23 in Google Play Store? Let us know in the comments section below.
