LG has finally launched the G Flex 2 in India, at an event in New Delhi. The device comes with a price tag of Rs 55,000, and will be available for purchase later this month.
The LG G Flex 2 was unveiled at the CES this year, and going by the name, the primary feature of the device is its self-healing back. LG has made plenty of improvements and now the back heals itself in 10 seconds, in contrast to its predecessor, which used to take three minutes. Also, the phone is touted by the company for a flexible display, which is 20 percent more durable.
In terms of specifications, the G Flex 2 features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Curved P-OLED display, and is powered by a 64-bit 2GHz Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of internal storage on-board, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. It is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery, which can charge up to 50 percent in within 40 minutes due to Fast Charge feature.
The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with laser auto focus and OIS+, which was initially on the LG G3, and a 2.1-megapixel front camera. It supports connectivity options such as LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth Smart Ready 4.1, and USB 2.0. The G Flex 2 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box and will be available in Platinum Silver and Flamenco Red color options.
