Samsung is the largest selling smartphone brand in the world right now. Depending on your budget i would suggest Samsung or Sony. Both have some good models. Sony has some good value for money devices like Xperia P which is getting Jelly Bean. Also check out Galaxy S duos @Himangshu

Videocon is a conglomerate. They have the money to invest in licenses and infrastructure. I doubt if they’ll leave.

    Pike :
I think Videocon is gone. Even if you get the signal, you will not be able to log in to.

Same had happened in Haryana few weeks back. Some of my friends getting signal from Aircel but I’m getting signal from Videocon’s own tower. Actually Videocon numbers with 7357 series here aren’t latching on Aircel network but latching on Videocon’s network. Numbers with 9068 series are latching on both Tata Docomo and Aircel network. Maybe they haven’t updated 7375 series to be used on Aircel/Tata network.

In the past too I noticed this thing. My friend with his number starting with 9068 was able to latch both on Videocon and Tata Docomo but I with 7375 was able to latch only on Videocon. Now my friend can’t latch on Videocon but I can.

Same thing has happened with you Pike. They updated their series in Aircel network in your area and removed it from their own system i.e you aren’t able to latch now.

I understand ur point , but wat does it mean ? Are they going to shutdown very soon or any tie-up with any other operator ? Is there any immediate need to port out from videocon ?

Another company (zync) has started copying Apple, Samsung and Nokia products like the third class companies karbonn, g-five, micromax.

The design of this phone is copied from Apple. The third class companies (g-five, karbonn, micromax and zync) only know to imitate and copy the technique from other companies. They do not know how to think on their own.

Please do not buy mobile from these third class companies (karbonn, g-five, micromax, zync etc).

In a world with the Dual Core Micromax A110 for Rs 10,0000, this device is obsolete.
