Voice of the Customer – Aircel

Dear Readers, you might be aware of our Voice of the Customer initiative which i have started few days back with BSNL/MTNL – state owned Operators and have also planned to continue the same with other Operators as well.

voice-of-customers

It’s Aircel’s turn now and for your information there is no priority given to any operator and the only thing i’m following is alphabetical order of the Operator Names. So you can expect when your Operator’s turn comes according to it’s name.

I would also like to thank every one for such a huge response who spared few minutes of their valuable time to share feedback with us as well as with fellow readers.I’m very excited about the pipelined Operators whose feedback has yet to be taken and i hope you are excited even?

Incase if you have missed BSNL/MTNL results you can check them out here.

As already said “I request all the Readers to fill the feedback forms of their respective Operators and also encourage your family and friends too to fill it up so that every voice can be noted into the document and we take the pleasure of not missing anything.”

Aircel is in Deep Trouble, Most of The Officer Quitting Aircel. Now Aircel is in the position of Like a Man Standing on The Sharp Edge of A Cliff. Now Either AT&T/ Other Foreign Operators Might Buy Aircel

I am the former uninor customer in west bengal circle. Now I port my number to Aircel. During these price hike days Aircel is till user friendly and chepest. My tariff 1.2paisa/6sec A2A and 1paisa/2sec A2O for 180 days validity. Full talktime above 30rs, also some free A2A mins. After Uninor Aircel is the most affordable provider in West Bengal circle. The only problem is that in villege area, network up down is it’s minus point.

1 and half year ago, One of C.C executive called me from his personal mobile number , offered me FAKE promos, forcing to recharge his personal number. I didn’t agreed , so he repeatedly activated VAS, and deactivated my rate cutters. Many times he blocked my incoming / outgoing, used slang languages. No one helped me, neither Nodal officer / Appellate Authority. I complained in Police , but no result.
Then there was no porting system, so, I was forced to left AIRCEL.

In Kolkata, I had problem with Aircel right from the beginning. Had to call DoT to intervene into three problems – being a customer first, then improving 2G signal strength and 3G signal non-availability inside building. Aircel wasn’t able to solve the 3G issue. They say I have “highrise buildings in vicinity”; but in my locality there’s no building other than G+4. Mine is a corner plot, and my room is adjacent to a 50 ft. wide road – then also 3G signal is not available in my room? If G+4 is what’s “highrise” for Aircel, then should they operate in Kolkata city? Or do I have to sell my home and start living in the road to enjoy their 3G network? Vodafone/BSNL/Idea/Reliance – their 3G signals are excellent in my room, then why not Aircel’s?

Aircel’s strength is its Data services. Especially the 2G Rs. 47 pack… Too good. Aircel’s coverage is mediocre though. Only in Tamil Nadu their coverage is good.

Aircel 3G (and speed after data limit – @ 128 Kbps constant with little variation) is good in Tamilnadu. But even a snail will overtake Aircel in 2G GPRS here. Sick. 2G GPRS sucks (even when used in PC or laptop without flash animations, sounds and video on web pages) here more despite showing EDGE symbol.

    To everyone :

Please don’t use 2G GPRS in Tamilnadu.

DOCOMO 2g is faster than any network in TN.But the problem is auto disconnection will happen for every 40 mins.I like both vodafone & aircel 2G since there is no forceful disconnection.

Amit Ji, can you tell me how is the Aircel GPRS service in Bangalore, compared to other SP. I know that Aircel has the cheapest GPRS pack, but at the same time speed also matters. It will be really helpful if you can tell GPRS speed. Thank You!!
