After voice tariff war, SMS tariff war hits Kolkata as Vodafone Essar, Kolkata’s largest mobile operator comes with 2 SMS packs for prepaid customers to send unlimited local &national SMS for 10 days & 30 days respectively.
Postpaid customers have to opt Rs 149 pack to get this offer. There is a Fair Usage Policy of Daily 500 local/national SMS applies for prepaid. In postpaid the subscriber can send 15000 local/national SMS in 30days.

RC Rs29 comes with 500 Local & National SMS/day for 10 days
RC Rs80 comes with 500 Local & National SMS/day for 30 days
Postpaid
Rs 149, 30 days, 15000 local & national SMS
Note:
This pack is to be used for non commercial purpose only. The free SMS do not apply on the peak charging days. – New Year, Bengali New Year, Friendship Day( Aug 01), Dussehra, Diwali. On these days, normal SMS rates of Re 1 for local SMS, Rs 1.50 for National SMS and Rs 5 for International SMS apply between 00.00 hrs to 24.00 hrs.

In your above statement you mentioned that you have recharged with Bonus card of Rs- 80. It is better to know properly from Vodafone CC before get recharge. there are 2 bonus card available for sms packs, one that you have recharge & another is RS -51 with same facility that rs-80 pack is.It is better to go for Vodafone store for further assistance.

Hi,
I recharged with Rs 80/-SMS pack, on 16/06/12, got Trans ID KO12365230289. But, quite inexplicably Vodafone has already started deducting Re 1/- for each SMS from this date after few hous. Could you please explain, why? This is simply unacceptable. You are projecting something to your consumers and doing quite opposite. Please revert to me immediately or I will be forced to apprise appropriate authority and seek justice.

I got an 80 rupees recharge on my vodafone number.. i want to know if there is any limit on sending messages per day for sending sms to another vodafone number and to other connections. After sending some messages they start deductiong my balance before the expiry date. please help me out.

i use the sms pack of 80 bucs which gives 500 sms free everyday, till 1 month from the day of recharge. but all of a sudden, 1 rupee per sms had been deducted from my main balance before the xpiry date of the promo. this lead 2 a zero balance in my phone thereby barring me from using the service. please look in2 the matter!!!

Lodge a complaint to vodafone via email.They will definitely solve it.I lodged a complaint regarding network fluctuation in my area in kolkata,and they installed a new tower within 1month.That’s vodafone.Problem is present with every operator but it’s only vodafone and some others who solve it carefully.

not used vodafone as its very costly.myself using reliance 1p sms plan. and its a great plan and working very well here in kolkata. vodafone offering the same type of plans but too costly, not very usefull.

its a loot but when sending messages from vodafone, it gets delivered in moments on network but sending messages from reliance gives prob on tata, bsnl and aircel nos..
and rest is depended on congestion….

Pure copy cat. Now vodafone making copy of reliance. The same offer was offered by reliance at just Rs.25 per month and it was just a month ago. now vodafone offering the same offer but they are charging Rs.80. its too much. simply vodafone is looting us.
