In the latest Quality of Service (QoS) Report,for the quarter ending September 2009, released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), details of which were published recently -Vodafone achieved the highest accessibility rate of 99.03%, one of the low call drop rates of 0.98% and a 98.28% rate of calls with good voice quality and a 100% resolution of billing and charging.
QoS Survey is part of the Indian Telecom Services Performance Indicators report that is released by TRAI every quarter. The customer requirements and expectations are given paramount consideration in the formation of these standards. The parameters and benchmarks have been made meaningful to the consumers for enabling them to make an informed choice and also on the level of quality that they are getting.
Speaking on this commendable achievement, K Sankara Narayanan, CEO Vodafone Essar South Limited said, “In the current dynamic and competitive scenario, the success and survival of an operator hinges on the quality of service (QoS) it provides This is indeed a proud moment for us all having topped the QoS for the 2nd consecutive quarter on almost all parameters among other GSM service providers in Karnataka state. Vodafone is truly a distinct communications leader where Karnataka customers benefit from a complete experience. We will constantly work at empowering and delighting our customers.”

without any doubt aircel have best network in karnataka its cover almost all cities… i think aircel have better network then Airtel… but they getting fail to select proper distributor
Max April 11, 2010 at 9:23 pm
@ARJUN.C
Mr.ARJUN for ur kind information Aircel is the biggest flop network in karnataka. its adding 20000 customers/month in karnataka where as other operators are adding 1-3lak per month. & Aircel is facing very low ARPU problems tats y it has sold its tower business so tat it can collect some funds.so no question of Aircel buying some operator. Aircel is good only in TN & some eastern states but not everywhere.
milind April 11, 2010 at 3:45 pm
@sweety
vodafone network much better.
ARJUN.C April 11, 2010 at 3:27 pm
yes of course But Nowadays AirTel Become Worst Network such that Aircel and Vodafone Will be leaders
sweety April 11, 2010 at 2:57 pm
no i dont agree with u saha….airtel is always the best and remains the best… good on nwrk..good on topups and good on internet services….it rocks in andhra
apoorv February 10, 2010 at 11:28 am
@Idrees
Airtel is the market leader and it will remain because of it’s all over good service……
One circle doesn’t make a operator a leader
Prasath J February 8, 2010 at 7:14 am
virgin is a VIRTUAL OPERATOR… It operates on Tata network, uses the Tata’s RF signals, only thing is “Different Brand Name” after giving some crores to Tatas… They are sharing Tata towers ACTIVELY..
But other in your list, MTS, Uninor shares towers PASSIVELY… To be precise, Etisalat DB is passively using RCom towers, Uninor passively using Tata’s towers, etc… It means that the Reliance Tower, carries the equipment of Etisalat DB for transmitting & receiving RF signals apart from its own equipments… This is called passive sharing… Hope you can understand…
Sayantan Saha February 6, 2010 at 10:06 pm
@ramesh
Why are you telling so?Tell us.Vodafone is costly but not most.Airtel and Bsnl are more costly that vodafone.
milind February 6, 2010 at 8:15 pm
@Prasath J
its not like that, virgin tieup with tata in CDMA and GSM sector. when TATA docomo launch there, virgin will use the same network with different tariff.in CDMA virgin doing the same. its like market brand VIRGIN network quality same as tata. MTS also type with reliance for sharing CDMA network. uninor type with vodafone. in maharashtra AIRCEL type with idea.
ramesh February 6, 2010 at 6:47 pm
But vodafone is most expensive network when compare with other networks call & GPRS tariff.
I will be the first person to get rid off this Kutta network once MNP will start.
Prasath J February 6, 2010 at 5:45 pm
NOT TRUE… Since even Docomo was not allotted startup spectrum till now…
IDRIS February 6, 2010 at 2:29 pm
That is good as far as customers are happy.
Idrees February 6, 2010 at 12:22 pm
u r growing under misconception, vodafone network not capable to hold the stability when there will be the higher access, look man hav u checkd out the plans in those 24 countries were they r operating, airtel started the pack when they felt the prassure itz the matter of time just hav the patience and hope for the best am sure they will pull something better out of the box @farhan
farhan February 6, 2010 at 12:06 pm
@tariq
if that’s so, why does this ‘k u t t a’ does not have competitive gprs plans for its prepaid customers. infact, it does not have any packs at all. the one it has rs.199 rental + 5p/10kb = rs.10,199 for 2gb compared to airtel’s rs.98 = 2gb. it cannot provide because its network is not capable. also, one or two circle does not make a mobile company great.
Devesh February 6, 2010 at 11:50 am
Airtel is the Market leader in Karnataka in subsriber base over 1 cr.
IG February 6, 2010 at 11:37 am
if everyone goes to reliance for getting cheapest offer…. then it is undoubtly true Vodafone will have a congessition free netw..
Abhijit February 6, 2010 at 11:32 am
What’s the use of high quality service?? They being an International Brand, but still does not provide GPRS facility for common users?? Still they stick to vodafone Live wap services only!! why?? So I m not able to use Opera Mini Browser, Nimbuzz, Google Maps, Snaptu apllication in Vodafone..
So I own an Airtel connection for using above applications.. They just look after corporate business mans provide them Blackberry.. If we common people wan’t to use Vodafone internet then u take Blackberry of Vodafone.. for non blackberry users they just provide WAP services.. So DESI Airtel , IDEA are good then…
rajiev February 6, 2010 at 11:09 am
Airtel, Vodfone and Idea cellular in gsm
Reliance and Tata indicom in cdma
saket February 6, 2010 at 10:03 am
yes, vodafone deserve it,
but are people really happy with high quality service, and high quality rates???
Immy February 6, 2010 at 9:59 am
The market leader in terms of subscribers in Karnataka is Airtel. Vodafone is the second and Reliance CDMA comes third.
Reliance GSM is still improving its network in Karnataka. Lets hope that it also becomes a competitive network in some period of time.
sudheer pal February 6, 2010 at 9:12 am
@tariq
sahi hai…tariq…but customer want good tariff…along with good service….which is not possible.
in case of reliance the tariff are really good..but the service is worst.
Sayantan Saha February 6, 2010 at 8:29 am
Good going.I am from RoB.Can anyone tell me who is the market leader,on customer no. basis,in karnataka?

tariq February 6, 2010 at 12:34 am
