Vodafone is shit as it charging daily amount for per second call rate.

  • drjsil June 1, 2010 2:29 pm

I am fed up with BSNL. I do not get connection from my bed in my room at Behala, Kolkata – 700034 and am to run to balcony or roof top as soon it rings or when I am to make a call. Even if I get connection at my balcony or roof-top, it gets disconnected within no time, requiring multiple calls to be made to complete a small purpose. In BSNL customer care is practically non existent. My complain in this connection is pending for more than a year by now. I am therefore compelled to look for other service providers. Many of my friends and associates are with Vodafone and appear to be happy. Thus I am also thinking to shift to Vodafone with Tariff of 1p/sec. However, their 1.2 p/sec tariff appear to be complicated. May be they should also make it a flat rate of 1p/min for all circles.

  • vinay December 6, 2009 10:37 am

voda prepaid is not that good.
they offer local voda calls-40 ps/min, 50 ps/m to all local/std. however inspite of charging 51 rs for a year validity, all first 3 calls in a day viz. v2v local, other local n std r charged at standard rates. if first min of 3 calls is at standard rates, then y they charge 51 rs for bonus card? effectively they charge 60+50+100= rs. 2.10 daily rental.

  • ishan December 3, 2009 9:36 pm

vodafone has simplified its pay per second plan in kolkata..now there is no daily decrement..v-v @ 1p/sec and V-others @ 1.2p/sec. for 1year with Rs 63 bonus card.

  • Vishnu November 29, 2009 4:55 pm

The new plan is kinda gud….its really nice dat vodafone intrdcs sch a plan…bt it wld b gud if it makes 1paise 2 any where in india…

  • vishal November 28, 2009 6:45 pm

airtel and vodafone are chors. they loot customers with many fine prints – first call full rates, several confusing bonus packs and validity packs etc. chor salay.

if they are confident about their quality, network and customer service, why don’t they directly charge a premium from customers, instead of charging extra and cheating under disguise.

have you seen any premium brand in the world in any industry or category behave and charge like how airtel and vodafone do? shit on airtel and vodafone!

today’s news report also talks about delay in MNP. it is but obvious that who may behind this delay… the incumbents ofcourse! this shows their insecurity and incapability to take on competition head on.

all their talk of quality, customer service, network is all bull shit. they are a scared lot because after MNP the whole world will know their true place and aaukad!

  • Akhilesh Kumar Singh November 23, 2009 6:53 pm

    Dear Mr. Pawan Singh,

Has daily deduction @ Re.050 eliminated from Kolkata. Should we pay only Rs63/- to avail pay per second plan ? please clarify it

  • pawan singh November 23, 2009 2:19 pm

vodafone kolkata ne naya offer nikala hai .recg. of63 will offer all india v2v calls at 1p/sec and v2o calls at 1.2p/sec valid for 365 days, no daily rental c

  • Akhilesh Kumar Singh November 20, 2009 4:38 pm

the public of Kolkata are not only avail but welcomed the service as well as Smooth Taking via Vodafore. This is what differentiate vodafone from other leading telecome service provider. Then is it necessory for vodafore to hide the information from its Customers ? Perheps it will not be in favour of Vodafore as well as its loving customers.

Please disclose all your information for customer

  • kaushik November 20, 2009 4:36 pm

50 paise daily deduction is there upto Dec 09
that means before implementation of MNP

  • Akhilesh Kumar Singh November 20, 2009 4:31 pm

I have recently gone to Vodafore Customer Care Store to know about the per second call offer in Kolkata. The Customer Care Execuive told me that only Rs.64/- will be charged for availing the scheme but when i see on net an addition of Re0.50 will be deduction daily which is a painfull deduction. The daily deduction should be eliminated because it pinch the customers.

Moreover, I didnot understand that why the Customer Care executive told me that daily deduction of Re0.50 has been eliminated from immediate effect.

Will vodafone service provider tell me the latest change for the existing lifetime customers in Kolkata for per second scheme? Will the parrallel bonus cards can be used with this schem ?

    Thanking you,

These operator are trying to earn as much as they can before mnp will hit India…and after that i think all will come out with booster or maybe unlimited calling plans.

  • Mathew November 17, 2009 12:19 pm

    @John
I recently discovered the same issue: I tried to top up with 333 but was given 301. 4 separate Vodafone reps told me “This is in our system, when you top up with Rs52 you will not get full talk time”. My response was that: “You have not warned your customers. The only warning I got was that 1p/sec billing is not compatible with any other talk plan, which meant I had to also give up my 20p/min friends and family plan. Vodafone is supposed to warn customers of possible ramifications when changing calling plan, and I have seen NOTHING in your advertising on TV, buses/bus stops, newspapers or anywhere else that makes a mention that I will have to forfeit over 10% of my recharge time. Especially considering Vodafone has vouchers which are not valid for full talk time, I would expect that if I make the trouble to purchase a full talk time voucher, I should receive full talk time regardless of which plan I am on”

…to which their response was “But Sir, in our system, when you top up with Rs52 you will not get full talk time.”

Doesn’t this fall under misleading advertising? Considering I’m being charged extra ST because of my plan, my costs are actually 1.1p and 1.33p per second respectively.

I think I’ll switch back to my old plan.

  • aravind November 16, 2009 6:34 pm

    Hi,
The services are worst and you are charged heavily in pospaid. I have changed to prepaid today and I also use reliance which is he best in h class with 50 ps/min even on roaming.

Just check if i’mm wrong !!!!

  • JD Ahuja November 16, 2009 11:59 am

It is unethical to charge Rs.54 as recharge cost in the first instance and 50P per day as additional charge which results into unnecessary burden on the consumer holding prepaid connection. Per second call charge should be free from any such charges which is desirable both for the consumer and the service provider. It needs to be looked into by VODAFONE. Pl. do.

  • jacob November 12, 2009 1:38 pm

thanks for the info on vodafone…thanks for the chart too…everyone is coming up with diff plans….reliance, vodafone, airtel, tata….lets c who wins….

  • John November 11, 2009 8:03 pm

    Hi Friends

Dont recharge with above bonus Cards
Vodafone is just Fooling Us if u recharge with any of the above bonus card then if u Recharge with any fuul Talktime voucher then you wont get the full Talk time instead you will get talktime minus serice tax @ 10.36 of the sale value
For eg: if u recharge with Rs.332 then you will get a talk Value less than 300 Rs

there are many other drawbacks with Vodafone
If i say all of them then I have to wright a book
If you want Vodafone o come up with good service then Drop them down
    then they will come strong

  • Rohit Gupta November 11, 2009 2:42 pm

    Hi,
I just want to say that Vodafone is trying to make its customers fools and nothing. Where each service provider is making efforts to grant effective and cheaper service to its customers…………Vodafone has not done anything in this respect despite its comparative bad service.
Company has not done anything to its postpaid customers, who are attached with it without changing their devotion with the company…..this is shameful.
Now I want to disconnect vodafone

Here is the Good News for Vodafone Subscribers in J & K. With the Post Paid taking charge now, all operators have started slashing prices to attract 38 lac subscribers left wandering for Post Paid Connections. With this initiative, Vodafone yesterday launched PAY PER SECOND PLANS in J & K. Two Post Paid Plans launched by company as Plan 99 and Plan 145 offering great value for money to customers. Difference lies in optional package given by Vodafone to Post Paid subscribers by charging Rs 32 monthly and slashing the call rate of V2V as 1paise/2seconds. this is optional package and many other packages are also there. I feel VODAFONE is soon going to be as No. 1 Operator in J & K.

  • Emad November 6, 2009 7:41 am

Nothing New in Vodafone, Vodafone always comes with if’s and but’s. Now everybody comes with 1/ps per second, these maharaja came out with 1.20 ps /sec.., No rider can be available with this plan, Totally useless, I think Reliance GSM/CDMA and tata docomo are best plan…Why waste money in vodafone…Relaince and tata u can add promotional TT also..Vodafone ko bye bye bol do…..Leave voda join Reliance bandwagon..He is indian and knows what ordinary people want, voda are simply to make money like coke and pepsi……

Don’t know why Vodafone is so much silent about per second billing. No promotions, no advertisements..! So many peoples are still unaware that Vodafone has also launched per second billing. On the other hand company’s main rival Airtel is very aggressive on the same. & now Reliance Comm. is joining the race!

LOVE YOU RCOM ! Even roaming is 1p/sec! What innovative scheme. God bless them . They have truly understood and respected customers… not like other operators who made us look like fools with lot of fine prints, roaming in minutes etc. Because of this RCOM deserves to be the No.1 mobile operator in India, not airtel or vodafone!

  • VARUN NARANG November 3, 2009 5:30 pm

badiya hai reliance aur tata baki sab bakwass hai aur ye tenu gay hai….

  • sandy November 3, 2009 4:10 pm

Voda and Airtel both are cheating their customers. If you take their 1 paise plan then one cannot take any full talk time offer or special tariff recharges for rate reductions. I’m surprised to see such big giants cheating their customers and on the same hand getting SRK to talk about customer base. I think SRK should not endorse cheaters.

  • kaushik November 3, 2009 12:05 pm

    VODAFONE KOLKATA OFFER
Recharge with Rs 54 with 180 days validity
All Local & STD 50 paise
better than Airtel RC 54 which gives only A-A =50 paise and A-O = 60 paise

  • Rakesh November 3, 2009 10:24 am

Vodafone learn from Idea and reliance regarding offers. Idea is giving services for a normal recharge for 1 Year while reliance is much better than than all service providers like airtel, vodafone etc.

Aircel Kolkata’s network and customer care is very good and polite except the fact that they love to irritate its esteemed customers thorugh some stupidic dialer tune calls from certain numbers like:98040-98102/98107/98126/98125/98124/98045-97933 etc.Inspite of compalining to the concerened autorities nothing is doen from their end..Only option left is to report the matter to TRAI..

  • Suresh November 2, 2009 7:08 pm

Aircel plan is nice in comapre to airtel and vodafone. Tata docomo newtwork is very poor but Aircel network and customer care is good.

  • ishan November 2, 2009 5:49 pm

After AIRTEL’s freedom plan I was expecting a better per second plan from vodafone.but when they launched it, I found it very disappointing.the reason is that they are charging 50p/day in some circles(like kolkata, west bengal, delhi etc.) for this per second plan..even AIRTEL is providing it with just a annual charge of rs.50-rs.65..but in case of vodafone the call rate is flat(1p/sec across India)in the circles where they are deducting 50p/day..but for the other circles the call rates are same as AIRTEL..

TATA and Reliance dont offer this billing info on SMS for their prepaid service after te call like MTS. i used both reliance and tata prepaid. good to know that MTS is offering this service

To get details of LAST 5 calls made in Tata (Indicom CDMA) is just send SMS with text “CALL” to 12524 (Toll free) in prepaid… In postpaid, it comes under itemised billing…
In Tata Docomo, the details of call charge is immediately displayed after the call gets disconnected (mostly)… Just dont press the Red (Hang/End) button after the call gets disconnected (Say if your caller may have first disconnected, and you press RED to cut the call, that silly message may be gone already…)

Yup.. your are right mate! Also, TATA DOCOMO prepaid customers can check online their prepaid details with last 10 calls in details, current balance, VAS and may more.. I am using this facility and happy with it.

TTDCM is GSM connection & GSM have USSD,i.e. On screen balance…but CDMA lacks USSD….MTS send us automated message after every chargeable call without any effort by us,but TATA Indicom users have to send some sms to get their previous call details…but MTS gives this after every call & it is automatic system launched by them…after haning up the call the sms will arrive in ur inbox within few seconds….its very good…..

MTS is offering 1p/1sec for local calls made to any network in rajasthan. Few days back i received an sms from them that now all std calls will also be charged at 1p/1sec to any network across all india (Without any packs or recharge). Plus as someone said earlier, MTS gives complete call details after each and every call. Its great. One more thing. They also give missed call alerts for free. If i miss any call when my cell is switched off or in no network coverege area, after switching it on, i receive all details of call i missed in between .. and the best thing, its free…….

I am using aircel’s per sec plan i tried to check whether it is accurate or not so i called to a local no. According to my phone i takd to 2mins and 33 secs but the craps deducted rs4.36….
Ths ws not expected atleast…ekdum bakwaas and chor hai aircel wale…nonsense and idiot operator to comeout with ths plan

  • ANIRBAN November 1, 2009 10:14 pm

    @Sayantan

MTS launched a new power card MCARD 95 with lifetime validity which is better than mcard99.call rates as follows

    all local calls 1p/2sec
    all Std calls 1p/sec

  • Tejas November 1, 2009 9:09 pm

What the hell is wrong with Vodafone and Airtel… if you want to retain your consumers, you would have to offer the best prices. The plans are so redundant and a farce. Aircel, and Docomo are clear and cheap 1p/sec for all calls local or national.. Etisalat is heard to be planning its tariffs at 10p/min for calls and loaded with free SMS…

  • DJSays! November 1, 2009 8:41 pm

This is bad tariff from Vodafone especially for Mumbai. V2V 1p/sec only. Other local calls of 1.2p/sec sums up to 72p/min which is much higher.

What a rubbish offers.. Really sad to see this that one has to pay about 250rs in some states to avail per sec plan..

  • Sayantan November 1, 2009 7:44 pm

From westbengal. Here we have to shed Rs246/yr. for 1p/sec.It’s just ridiculous.
Tell me whether MTS is still offering 30p/min. for lifetime with any bonus card.

  • Avishek November 1, 2009 6:08 pm

We all know that every GSM operator has on screen billing after every chargeable call/sms…but CDMA segment lacks this technology of USSD….But now MTS sent SMS after every chargeable call..in this sms they give us a detail of last call i.e..duration of last call in seconds(100% accurate, not like Aircel’s cheating),last call charge, current accout balance, validity……it is very good for a cdma subscriber who dont have Instant OSB on his mobile like GSM sims… Is Any other CDMA operators gives this types of facility???…pls give ur views….sorry for offtopic mater….

  • Anuj November 1, 2009 5:20 pm

In Maharashtra & Goa circle, BSNL’s per second billing is costliest. It has 1.5 Re daily rental! I doubt if anyone opt for it…

  • Anuj November 1, 2009 5:17 pm

    @Debopratim Roy
Man, Idea is also selfish..! Ask to peoples in Maha & Goa or where Idea is established operator. Here in M&G, Idea is even more expensive than Airtel or Vodafone.

  • Ashish November 1, 2009 4:54 pm

What is the funda behind daily deduction of 50 paisa. They are trying to fool people ?

  • Debopratim Roy November 1, 2009 4:31 pm

Its better to stay with bonus card of 123 for 6 months at 30p/min for vodafone to vodafone than migrating to their existing bullshit per second system…Aircel,Tata Docomo is better and much more whole hearted than these selfish giant of indian telecom like Airtel and Vodafone…Even Kolkata Idea is giving us the oppertunity for existing customers to recharge with Rs.2 ana avail per second billing.if unsatisfied the again recharge with Rs.3 to get back to 40p local and 60p Std scheme..Good idea sirji…..

  • Fahad November 1, 2009 4:30 pm

Is it really worth to go for vodafone and airtels pay per second…it is very costly dude…
    Docomo do somethng new

  • Debopratim Roy November 1, 2009 4:28 pm

This offer is utter rubbish considering from Vodafone the 2nd largest operator only customer base wise with little reward for its esteemed customers..Vodafone Kolkata customer care told abt this all as mentioned in the topic above…Total bakwaas from both airtel and vodafone..Another information that I came across is that as per an article in the Times Of India Kolkata edition 2 months ago there was a news that Orange is in process of taking over Vodafone in short time..Dhobi ka kutta na ghar ka na ghaat ka…Poor pug!! God save the queen :-D

  • Avishek November 1, 2009 4:07 pm

A bad offer from India’s best n/w operator…..now a days this pay per second is fashion for everyone….or may be a mandatory (not officially)for all operators….the new entrants are giving us pay per second offers….& the existing big operators are not happy with these billing system…but as mass demand they introduced this offers…& trying to fullfill their losses after migratting from mint billing to per second billing with these types of daily rental, recharge coupons & 1.2 p/s etc etc….

I am not taking this bullshit offer from Vodafone…now I am using Vodafone & MTS…Vodafone call charges(with 53 recharge for 1yr) are 49p/mint.(Local),1.30rs/mint(STD),1.00 rs for local & 1.50 rs for national sms…& MTS call charges(Lifetime validity with one time 95 recharge) r 1p/2 sec(Local),1p/1sec(STD),100 SMS(Local & National)free everyday with 1rs/daily deduction….I am happy with Vodafones’ pr mint billing & MTS’s PER SECOND BILLING….I will stick with that…..

  • Swaps November 1, 2009 3:00 pm

    Karnataka is the costliest one.

  • M AHMAD November 1, 2009 2:57 pm

Why are they charging daily rental….
First they want to take home around 70 rs….n still want to take home monthly 15ruppees………
    what is this…..???

  • Anuj November 1, 2009 2:54 pm

Good news for Vodafone subscribers specially thoses who intend to do low duration calls.

  • Swaps November 1, 2009 2:54 pm

The best and the cheapest is of Assam, NE & Orissa. Rs.12 only

  • ANIRBAN November 1, 2009 2:52 pm

  • vikash soni November 1, 2009 2:21 pm

  • Ishwer Singh November 1, 2009 1:45 pm

Daily deduction will not be acceptable to Voda customers. They hve to look for alternate connection whenever the Number Portablilty will be commenced in their areas.

  • SP November 1, 2009 1:15 pm

Daily dedication 50 paisa most wrost Offer.

  • Sachit November 1, 2009 1:02 pm

    what about postpaid?
also why 1.2p/sec?? y cant they just simplify it to 1p/sec to any network nationwide??

  • Emad November 1, 2009 1:01 pm

    Worst offer

  • B Gupta November 1, 2009 12:52 pm

Both Vodafone and Airtel are still living in past days.Waiting for 31st December.Let MNP implement.

  • Abhijeet D November 1, 2009 12:44 pm

Airtel an vodafone have always done that.. Till recently they had monopoly in the telecom sector and they have almost always tried to exploit it to their advantage.

  • punit November 1, 2009 12:34 pm

These telecom operators behave like monkeys imitating each other especially the big and small operators in mumbai circle wherein u shall see that airtel and vodafone who are like the kings in mumbai have brought out almost similar plans like if u make calls to thier own local network u shall be charged 1paise per second and if u make calls outside i.e. other local or std u shall be charged 2paise per second and on the other side new entrants like idea and aircel have brought out a falt rate of 1 paise per second irrespective of any network it is very obvious why they have done so Isn’nt it?????????
