Vodafone Introduces New 3G Plans, Will Now Offer 12GB for Rs 1599

Vodafone Introduces New 3G Plans, Will Now Offer 12GB for Rs1599Vodafone today announced the launch of new 3G tariffs for 3G data plans for its customers.

These data plans start from Rs 25 for 25 MB data usage and go up to Rs 1599 for 12 GB of data usage. For any usage beyond the stipulated data usage on each plan, the customers will be charged at the rate of 2p/10kb.

The Pay As You Go (PAYG) rate for prepaid customers is now the most competitive and lowest in the market, making it much more affordable. At 2p/10kb, it is an 80% reduction from the existing rate, making it a plan tailor-made for everyone.

Additionally, Vodafone will now allow its customers to use data from their bundle package while on-net roaming across any location in India without any additional charge.

trying to activate 3g pay as you go by sending sms act 3g to 144 since i have prepaid. I got a reply saying your requested service will be activated in 24 hours. I will wait till tomorrow to see what happens. Not too hopeful tho since i read somehwere that you can only get 3g by buying a plan no more pay as you go on VODAFONE.
If thats the case then I’m switching to airtel. (this is for ipad primarily) my phone is already on airtel and the 3g is simply flawless.
Airtel is the champion of broadband in New Delhi!!

1GB has 1024 MB, each 1 MB has 1024 KB, so 1024×1024 = 1,048,576 kb in 1 GB. Now how many packets of 10kb are in this big number, you divide by 10, so 104,857.6, now multiply 2p or Rs. 0.02 x 104857.6 = Rs. 2,100 approximately plus taxes is the charge for usage 1 GB data over and above your limit Similarly, when a company charges 1p or 3p or 10p/kb simply multiply the number and get the answer.@novicefreak1

To act Vodafone 3G pay as you Go plan , as far as i know just send sms as ACT 3G to 111 or try 144. Be esure to have min 30 Rs in bal.Otherwise it will say sorry service could nt be activated due to insufficient balance. But Vodafone will put small troubles before activating 3G , after that you can enjoy high speed connectivity.

So finally Tata Docomo turns worse in low end plan with voda’s company. Docomo and Voda has worse 3G network along with 3G restriction without 3G packs. And also both companies eats customers balance without mercy. I got 84Rs. Deduction in docomo one week ago, there was deduction details in website’s myaccount. And last deduction details on 121. Still customer care tell that for browsing vuclip. I think they made this website chargable only for the reason to tell something to customer’s deduction. I got only half of money back after long fight with proofs of balance details, even I dont had any fault. They even dont know why the balance was deducted. I was happy complaintless customer of docomo since 2 years. But now they thrown their business ethics.

Hey for your information VU clip website is chargeable …….u can check by going through any companies website…it is clearly mentioned that browsing on VU clip is chargeable additionally

I know Pankaj. I’m a Internet user of docomo since 2 years. And Computer Science Engg. Student. I lost 84Rs. And 7.50Rs. In two weeks while browsing nonchargable website like google, facebook with internet plan and TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET APN. and till now I didn’t visited vuclip and will not in future. There was no deduction details on last call and data charges in myaccount of tatadocomo and I checked with sending DATA to 121. There also no details of it. I called CC On 121. They are telling I browsed vuclip. While I made chat on their website they tell no such deduction. I was recharged 100Rs. And was used about 3Rs. After deduction my balance was 13Rs. So I printed my last recharge of 100Rs. And asked where is the bill details of other 84Rs. So they made only half refund because there was no detail of bill. If I dont had that knowledge then they had eaten the money. So guys please keep a look at your account. It might happen to you tomorrow. There will be deduction without any details of it.

MTNL 3G tariffs are way better than Vodafone, Vodafone is the biggest thief in the Indian telecom sector!

video calling has never gained any real traction in any part of world.
so I do not expect any change in that tariff.
it was always niche segment and it will always remain so.

With apple’s facetime picking up so well , why would anyone use video calls of operators?

actually this guys have increased tariff for high end plans,
previously this same cartel was giving 15 gb or so for 1250.
now those plans are gone and replaced with costly packs.

I remember airtel had 5 gb for 750 rs per month.
now that plan is no where.

Interestingly the so called stake-holders in the telecom sector initiated tariff cartel sometime back and increased the rates. But now they realized the folly and started lowering the rates thru different STVs and packs ! It is surprising that those players whose licenses were terminated are offer awesome calling/data rates for on-net and off-net services ! However yet no players bothered to reduce the video call rates and as such the subscribers hardly use 3G for voice calls(Rs.3/- p.m.). The fixed line broadband/data card play dominant role in data transfer/download therefore mobile internet going is going Southward ! The present reduction in 3G rates by almost all the players is a good gesture.

Vodafone Kolkata website doesn’t yet reflects this, in fact when trying to recharge for prepaid they gives 10gb for 1599 instead of the 12GB, also they are showing 10gb 1500 in the tariff listing. Looks like ppl behind vodafone website has to work much more to bring everything in sync.

Aircel 3G with unlimited data (after FUP @ 128 kbps) itself is far more better in TN. The cost is also less.

No. They have said in customer car (Tamilnadu circle) that just sending activation keyword to a tollfree number will activate pay as you go.
In TN, Idea has 3G ICR with vodafone. So if vodafone is costly, better to use IDEA sim using vodafone 3G !!!.

well it is the operator’s choice whether he wants to enter the price war or not, even reliance and airtel do not give some offers like others give so it is better to be with the provider who gives you tariffs and offers which are comfortable to you
