Exclusive : Vodafone India Launches Online Customer Care Live Chat Support

Vodafone India has introduced a refreshingly new online customer care initiative, ‘Online Live Chat‘ service for all its mobile customers across India.

Happy to Help through Live Chat Service is endeavor in the Indian telecom industry and aims at ensuring customer service as a key differentiator for Vodafone. The service will take care of all postpaid & prepaid queries/ requests & complaints through live Chat option. The new service designed to help customers wherein its customer care executive will chat with website visitors in real time and have their questions answered instantly.

Presently the Live Chat service will be available in Mumbai, Delhi & NCR and Gujarat circles and will be expanded to other circles across India soon. To avail the service, Live Chat, subscribers have to log on to Vodafone India website and select the circle, click on the ‘Chat’ button under the “We’re Happy to Help through live chat now! . Once the customer fills a Pre-Chat Form, he/she automatically gets transferred to a live chat with the company representative.

The representative then resolves/answers queries/requests/complaints and closes the chat accordingly. The service is available only for Vodafone India’s existing prepaid and postpaid customers between 9.00 am to 6.00 pm from Monday to Saturday only.

Earlier the similar service was launched by Tata Docomo in July, 2010 as we shared earlier on TelecomTalk.

    I am from Mumbai & using the Vodafone service since 10 years. As my Vodafone number is under Corporat plan i was using the Supersaver 199 plan in which myself is getting the Bills about INR 1600/- every Month. Since i am using the Internet i thought twill change the plan & go for the plan in which i can use the Internet for office email & other Mobile app on my Mobile. I have asked vodafone corporate desk to change the plan on 10th March but I have noticed the when i switch to the new plan the Data usage showing not much whereas i am using the same data with my old plan so I have decided to come back to my old plan so I have send the email to corporate desk to switch the old plan… But i am surprise that Vodafone has removed both the plan from my account & my data usage showing without any plan with vodafone system. When i have spoken to their customer service, they have informed wait till your Bill comes. My Bill came 19000/- where as I was using the same data wherein my Bill came INR 1600/- Per Month.

    I think Vodafone services are so pathetic so i decided to go for other services

    I recharged my vodafone number with 99 booster on 14/09/2015 ( vodafoe to vodafone free for 28 days), but from today(18/09/2015) when I speak to the vodafone numbers I am getting charged, and when I try to reach the customer service they are diverting my call for hours and hours,
    Please reach me (9884441132) or I will ask my family members and friends to change from vodafone to other network
    I am highly dissatisfied about vodafone now.

    I get new Vodafone connection ten days back but still deactivated the Vodafone retailer few days back say it will be activated after 48 hours but still same it will be better if u call back me

    I applied for a MNP from airtel to Vodafone and my airtel sim has been deactivated on the 20th of june and my vodafone sim is still not active ..I don’t understand how can u keep a sim inactive for more than 36 hours what utter ridiculous ness is this… I need my sim active right now…I gone to Vodafone s official online site and registered my complaint there as well… I am fed up of this shitty service and I am wondering if I did the right thing in shifting to this shitty neywork

    Well, in the piquant situation that you are in, usually if your local Vodafone store does not have in its possession a Mini SIM (Standard SIM) you can request them to send a request to their Circle Headquarter to courier in a Mini SIM. Usually I have come across Mini-SIM cards that can be used as Micro-SIM cards, it is the first time I have come across a SIM card that is Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM capable and not Mini-SIM and Micro-SIM capable. My nearest Vodafone store had a shortage of nano-SIM cards and usually has the Mini-SIM that can be converted to Micro-SIM in stock.

    Submit your necessary PoI and PoA KYC documents with your local store and instruct them to place a courier-in request from their Circle inventory/store headquarters. Get a docket number, if they are unable to generate one, send an email or tweet stating that you have submitted the requisite documents at the local store and require a Mini-SIM card. The courier containing the Mini-SIM will in all likelihood reach your store within a couple of days.

    Why my no is disconnected, I am also contact with Idea care on today early morning 8:00 AM & she said your Idea Bill is Submitted on Idea account. please contact your Vodafone Care (Dhankwadi) Pune Branch.

    I am very disturb on your service please my no restart on urgent basis. Otherwise I Complaint against Vodafone in Consumer court.

    I got a SMS from Vodafone. Recharge with Rs.94 you will get 1 GB 2g/3g internet pack. You will get 400mb instantly & rest of 624mb you will get shortly after 4 hours. I got only 400mb & rest of 624mb I didn’t get.
    fulfill it Vodafone network dealer. I need it shortly

    Dear sir I have one prepied nUmber 9813298453 .last 6 days I m rechrage 452 rs 3g recharge but till date no savice activated .I call thecustomer care but no respose .he say your complend proess .total data pack 2 8 days .your not happy to help M not says other friends ‘familyfamily use vodafone number use in future.is bad company :no help the customer any spport excutive;nodal offcer plz resolu the problem . I call the personal advocate and Case the Vodafone company .ya refund our amoamount.

    I have made recharge Rs.155/- for 2G data plan, before recharge i had conformed on 111 vodafon customer care there was clearely stated that 1GB for 28 days, but actual i have received 525 MB for 28 days.

    i m calling from last 5 days on customer care no regarding my problem that is m not receiving 3g signal from last 5 days as i m in roaming in indore .(MP). and again n again the executive and GPRS technical department team is not even responding properly . its so irritating that again n again the technical department team putting my call on hold every time …when i tried to talk to the seniors at technical department then again they putting my call on hold ..this is not the way of treat to a customer as they in service industries..

      You might have incorrectly entered PIN 3 times. Call 111 from other vodafone number or respective CC no. (see website) from other operators.

    I got a vodafone 3g connection on 19-08-2013 from vodafone store and i had submitted all the documents required by you at the time of purchase still my sim is not working when i called to the customer care they informed me you have got negative address verification on 20-08-2013 while a verification officer named faij ahmed came today only ,so unnecessary your staff is doing delay in process and your customer care staff is asking for visiting your store again this is really painfull·

    First they need to optimize the webpage for faster loading while using gprs too.vodafone online recharge takes more than 5mins to load while using any gprs,even for vodafone gprs too!!! Docomo online recharge & chat are better.

    As per Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) directives on blackout days, no concessional tariff on voice calls or SMS will be available on these blackout days for tariff. The normal tariff as per plan will be applicable on these days of 25-12-2012, 31-12-2012 and 01-01-2013.
    This coming 25th December- 2012, 31st December-2012 & 1st January-2013 are treated as Black-out days for tariff on account of Christmas, New Year Eve & New Year Day. On these days, no free or discounted SMS will be available to existing / new customers, who have subscribed to SMS STVs or have free SMS offered along with new subscription.

    No free or discounted voice call will be available to existing / new customers, who have subscribed to voice STVs or have free voice call minutes offered along with new subscription. Discounted call facility “Friend & Family” will be not available during these days. Tariff for SMS/Voice call charges will be as per the plan tariff on these days.

      Now theres a drawback. Chat Customer care of Vodafone and Tata Docomo both support Mozilla 3.x, Internet Explorer 6,7 & 8 only.
      So if you have latest chrome ,FireFox and IE browsers you won’t be able to use this service.

      I told TataDocomo people about this issue many a times but they sound helpless.

    Vodafone Bombay has been quite okay as far as service goes (not very good but at least honest) and this addition is a welcome move.
