Vodafone’s New App Store Now in India

Vodafone today announced the launch of new Vodafone Mobile Application Store for its Indian subscribers.

The service is powered by Appia and will be offering a one stop shop for all Vodafone India Mobile (2G/3G) customers to purchase and download applications and games for use on their GPRS-enabled handsets.

The app store will have over 10,000 free and paid applications for virtually any handset across major mobile operating systems including Android, Java, Symbian and Blackberry.

To avail the service Vodafone customer need to sms VStore or Apps to 111 from their GPRS-enabled handsets and click on the URL in the response message one can also log-in to live.vodafone.in and click the Vstore link on the Vodafone Live homepage to get the direct access to the app store .

Vodafone’s new chanel partner, Appia is the world’s largest cross platform, open app marketplace with a catalog of more than 140,000 paid and free titles that are available for discovery and download by the more then 4 billion consumers worldwide who are using Android, iOS, Symbian OS, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Palm, Linux, and Java powered mobile devices.
