Virgin Mobile (India) Introduces All In One Social Networking Platform

In an attempt to provide innovative value added services to its GSM Mobile service users In India, Virgin Mobile the Youth focused Mobile service operator has introduced  two new services dubbed as Friends Circle and vGenie in association with Mobile Tribe, a premier provider of blended social networking, messaging and rich media solutions for mobile carriers.

Virgin Mobile India claims that its youth oriented social networking tools “Friend Circle” is first blended social networking application on mobile devices in India. The service is integrating different social networks such as Orkut, Facebook, MySpace into one client accessed through VMI mobile devices, it delivers a new, differentiated, and easy-to use experience.

The Subscribers of VMI Friends Circle can access and manage multiple social networks through just a single interface with their mobile Handset. With the services subscriber able to connected with with friends across all three social networks at one time and is easily accessed both by WAP and Java client on handsets through a single log-in.

Where as  vGenie is a mobile assistant that provides birthday reminders, social networking updates, wakeup call on Voice & SMS, e-mail alerts without the need to pull the information manually from multiple sources.

    Nice attempt by vmi, it should be launched thru brew on its cdma arm too,, good product against reliance socially,, lets see how much they’ll charge for subscription after free traial period :) :D
