    Your last point is interesting
    Don’t know why net connection problem not solved and don’t know when it will so….

    but do you let me know how come you using DoCoMo spectrum for internet during home Rome only calls can be made but net is chargable..?

      @Adil,

      I’m here talking about Intra Circle Roaming and not Inter Circle Roaming. In Inter Circle Roaming i.e when I move out of my home circle Haryana, I get charged at 10p/10KB on network other than Videocon.

      But when two operators get into Intra Circle Roaming agreement they share spectrum in same service area. Here I can select Tata GSM Haryana network manually on my Videocon Haryana number and they aren’t charging extra as agreement is between these two for network or spectrum sharing i.e Videocon is using both active and passive infrastructure of Tata. So tie-up is for both voice and data. We can use our data pack on both Videocon and Tata.

    Videocon should wind up their business as even after offering competitive plans, they are not picking up in Haryana and also losing customer base in Punjab. No network expansion except tie-up with Tata Docomo whose network coverage is also low especially in small towns and villages. Dealers says that they are finding it difficult to sell Videocon SIMs now especially after license cancellation row. The company stopped operations for 5-6 months before re-starting and lost people confidence and now they are not interested to buy Videocon SIMs. Customers are more concerned about network coverage and only few opting for it who don’t roam much or need it for V2V.

    They tie-up for network with Tata Docomo ~ one and a half month ago here. First I wasn’t getting data signal after selecting Tata network on Videocon number. Videocon own network signal is weak here. But after few weeks we start getting the EDGE (E) signal and we can now use data packs but there is a big problem that on Tata network data receives only for 4-5 seconds and it completely stops after that. Then you connect again and it stay alive for 5 seconds before dying means no data receive.

    Same (ditto) kind of thing was there when Aircel launched its services in Haryana and was using Tata Docomo network. I bought a new Aircel SIM in 2010 which came with 1 month unlimited PI and after inserting I came to know that they were using Docomo’s network. When I connected, data transferred for 9-10 seconds and then nothing. Wasn’t able to use even 5MB in whole month. But after 2 months problem was solved as Aircel installed own BTS which is still alive. With Tata network the problem remained for 4-5 months and then it was normal and speed was always rocking at 240Kbps with Aircel SIM. They are gone from Haryana now but I still have the SIM which is active and network is still present. lol

    Now I think this problem (Videocon Internet not working properly on Tata network) will solve in few months but until then I can’t use 2G on Videocon as their own speed sucks due to low signal strength.

    But one thing I have noticed is using Videocon SIM on Tata network we don’t have to try again and again for connection and it connects in 1 second only unlike Tata’s own SIM.

      The same internet problem is present in vodafone for around 2-3 years in hp. And its still not resolved even after complaining …
      Speeds are around 100-150 kbps when connected.
