Which company will Videocon buy? Airtel? Idea? Vodafone? Reliance?
Its a joke. They cant buy any established player. No new entrant would sell off so soon due to 3 years’ lock in clause. Uninor has support of Telenor, Aircel of Maxis group, DoCoMo and RGSM are beyond Videocon. In fact Reliance would be interested to buy Videocon as its own gsm service is in dire straits. So in that sense Videocon can get 100 million customers after they merge with Rcom.

None of the established players r going to sell when they have got pan india spectrum &now getting 3G, dude telecom is a huge business with good profits.. Aircel is owned by Maxis & appolo hospital group, maxis being a leader in Malaysia won sell its business, instead it ll look for acquisitions.. ha Stel & loop may sell & go

    Max :
one thing is for sure videocon can never get 100million customers in 3 years..Every month they have to add 27lak customers to reach this.. market leaders like AIRTEL,RELIANCE, VODAFONE & TATA who have deep rural penetration are itself currently adding 30lak customers/month so no chance for videocon.. afterall in two years telecom industry will reach saturation level. even though MNP is implemented videocon can gain bcos as soon as mnp will be launched all operators will improve ter service quality & start pleasing customers. airtel already gave USD1.3billion contract to Ericsson to upgrade its 2G network in 15 circles & remaining 8 circles for NSN. Reliance & vodafone r also in rapid network expansion mode, Vodafone has set up many new towers beside National highways in karnataka withn 3 months( so how can one expect ppl to leave tis type of companys).. so videocon has to work very hard & shell billions of dollars to gain 100 million figure in 3 years

    MNP will help them lot
one more way by buying other estlabish player like aircel and idea

No one expected TATA DOCOMO to be a big hit after the launch, i hope videocon too must be having some big plans ahead to march ahead fr reaching that 100 Million Subscribers Mark.!! 3years is really a big time.!! Don’t forget, its high time tht Consolidation will soon start taking place in Indian Telecom Market! :)

    Hope for the Best!! :)
